The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 327

She did fulfil her requirements and was very kind to the little prince. But her dissatisfaction began to grow. That’s because when she signed that contract there was a condition in it that there would be no husband or wifely duties between them. She was simply married to be a mother to the young prince and she signed on it.

She could have intimate relationships with anyone as long as they were vetted prior by the Bloodgarde. If she wanted to leave and start her own family she would be given a huge sum of money and an extremely comfortable life.

She decided to not only be the little prince’s mother but be the emperor’s genuine wife. But soon she realised she was competing with a dead woman. The emperor would constantly remind her to maintain their respected boundaries.

She took his criticisms with a smile and promised to do better but this only fueled her determination. She did the unthinkable and drugged the emperor using his son.

While baking cookies with the little prince during the day she added something a little extra in the batter and when the emperor came back home she knew he wouldn’t refuse the offer if it came from his son.

And just like that she had sex with the emperor while taking fertility pills to boost her chances. When the emperor found out he was extremely furious and would have sent her out of the door but when he saw his son crying his heart softened.

He let her stay but that was the worst decision he had ever made. A month later she turned out pregnant and when she found out she was having a son she began to poison the little prince in preparation for her own baby.

Since the incident with the cookies she was closely monitored and couldn’t touch the little prince’s food. She instead put the poison in her perfume and because it was gene sensitive it only affected the little boy. So each time they cuddled the young boy was getting poisoned.

.....

The Emperor couldn’t believe he fathered Tala’s child no matter how hard she tried to convince him. That’s because he knew how difficult it was for his wife to even have her first child. Their family line was cursed never to have a large family.

From the moment she gave birth the child was tested for paternity and as expected the baby wasn’t his. After that emperor Yeoh told her to leave. He had already realised he was wrong. He couldn’t replace his wife so what made him think he could replace his son’s mother. It was better for him to be a good dad than try and find a woman to take his wife’s place as his son’s mother.

Tala didn’t take that well. She accused the emperor of forging the results so he could deny her son. While throwing a fit she revealed that the prince would die anyway and that he should just accept her son otherwise he won’t have an heir.

After hearing that the emperor almost struck her down but seeing the innocent child in her hands he drove her out. He still fulfilled his promise and gave her everything owed to her before she left.

As for the little Jun, he had the blood of the phoenix running in his veins and could heal easily. Give it six months to a year he would have gotten the poison out of his system.

As they dragged her out of the palace she swore that the emperor would come and beg her to come back after the little prince was dead. But she waited and waited. Weeks turned to months and months turned to years and years to decades but he never came to beg her nor did the prince die.

Hatred and resentment grew in her heart. She began to channel that same energy towards her son making him hate Yeoh Jun who had absolutely nothing to do with the matter. She manipulated her son throughout the years just so that she could get that woman’s crown and when the royal family fell with the death of Yeoh Jun she thought she would get what she wanted.

What she failed to realise was that her ex husband on paper had been cremated with his first wife’s belongings taking them with him to the after life. That crown was no where to be seen.

One would think she had won already. Her ex husband was dead, his dearest son was also dead and the Yeoh family had burnt to the ground so shouldn’t she move on and let it go? But after decades of being obsessed with a person and their driving fuel being hate it was very difficult to let go once that person was gone.

So what did she do? She manipulated her brainwashed son to think bigger. She wanted the Bloodgarde gone and to do that she needed to rob the Marshal’s hand. She wouldn’t rest until her son was the one the highest power in the federation.

This was in a nutshell the story of Tala and her son Ju.

She sat opposite him and pinched his chin forcing him to look at her and said, “Why are you still putting this lipstick shade on your lips. It doesn’t suit you.”

Ju grasped her hand and removed it from his chin before asking, “Who was he?”

Tala chuckled as she got up and said, “Don’t worry about him.” She poured out some warm coffee from the coffee pot only for her hand to pause when he said,

“I thought you promised me that when I come today there won’t be anyone.”

The downside of Tala’s plan was that to maintain full and total control of her son she didn’t allow him to develop a healthy relationship with anyone be it boy or girl. She was afraid they would undo all her hard work and hence she made sure of it that no one would come close to him. Her hatred had caused her moral compass to shatter into a million pieces.

She had a reward system for Ju and when he did as she asked he would get one request. The rewards weren’t worth mentioning because they went beyond basic moral standards.

AN: I am certain by now the dynamics of their relationship is obvious but we won’t go into detail.
