Chapter 211 Surprise
The mutated Licara flower seed looked much simpler than he had expected.
It was quite large, around the size of a ping pong ball, and was coated in a sky blue color.
Other than that, one could see faint, seemingly untraceable engravings on the seed that shone in a dark bluish color.
From the looks of it, the seed had several layers, with each subsequent layer having a darker tone of blue.
This was quite interesting, but far from the truth behind the uniqueness of the seed.
While others could only sense compressed life force, and the three major cultivation energies that coursed through the seedling which allowed it to brim in vigor, Kyle was able to see far more.
Being able to perceive more than 50 hues that overlapped each other, Kyle\'s eyes hurt the longer he looked at them.
Because of that, he blinked furiously and averted his attention from the seed before storing it inside a small pouch that was attached right next to his scabbard.
There was no need to waste time observing the mutated Licara flower seed.
It was just his ticket to enter the Lahin kingdom, and hopefully also the Glory Knight academy.
Considering this as a reason enough to not inspect the mutated Licara flower seed, Kyle, who knew himself best, understood that this was not the entire reason.
In the end, if he were to stare too much at the seed, he would be tempted to nurture a few hues in order to test out what their development path was.
This might destroy the purpose of the seed, which was to enhance someone\'s potential, and result in changing its genetic code completely.
In the worst case, it might even turn into something harmful.
And gifting something harmful to the Queen of the Lahin kingdom was certainly not what Kyle wanted to do if he wanted to get in her good books!
After taking this into consideration, Kyle rather praised himself for the arrow he had shot.
It had almost hit the bull\'s eye.
Kyle had been astonished about this but he knew that it had been due to his precise control over the wind rather than his extraordinary talent in archery.
As such, he couldn\'t help but smile before looking at the Nasga, who was still lying on the ground, staring at the sky impassively and taking deep breaths.
"Why don\'t you kill me?" It was a simple question, and the reason behind asking it was clear too.
Instead of killing the Nasga, and ending his life, Kyle had used some of his soul energy to empower the Nurture ability.
With this, he tended to the Nasga\'s wound, and stopped the bleeding.
However, rather than providing a proper answer, Kyle just shrugged his shoulders as he stepped away.
"I don\'t really care who kills whom inside the dome, so I don\'t feel any anger or hatred towards you. And, even if you might have killed dozens of prodigiesI don\'t think it is necessary for me to attract the wrath of another race, just by killing you.
Furthermore, you did a great job with your plan and accomplished it successfully!
I got what I want, so you can just take what you want as long as you don\'t disturb me!"
He knew that his reply didn\'t answer the Nasga\'s question correctly because Kyle had just spoken his mind.
There were numerous reasons to defeat potential enemies that might kill him in the future.
Nonetheless, the simplest answer Kyle could deliver was that he didn\'t feel like killing the young Nasga.
Mercy was something he would ignore in a life-and-death battle, which the majority of spectators of the Brawl had realized when he killed the Aldra prodigies without any remorse.
Because of this, they had expected him to kill one of the strongest present Nasga prodigies as well.
The Warlords of the Nasga race had become restless when they had realized that their plan failed, only to sigh in relief when Kyle walked off without killing their prodigy.
This indicated that Kyle wouldn\'t kill anyone in the Brawl as long as he was not attacked first.
It was very important that they figured this out, and after some discussion, the Nasga race\'s Warlords decided to return the favor they owed Kyle.
Instead of ordering their people to attack Kyle, they told the Nasga prodigies to leave him alone.
In the end, there were still numerous treasures for them to procure, including a handful of mutated Licara flower seeds.
Considering that the prodigy Kyle spared was still holding two of such treasures, with one having a countdown of merely an hour, it was easy for the Nasga Warlord to exempt the masked man from becoming their focus of attention.
Meanwhile, it was not just the Nasga race that had arrived at a consensus to exempt their prodigies from hunting Kyle.
Instead of remaining idle, even Sven and his Soldiers had realized that they had to do something in order to support Kyle.
He wanted to gift a mutated Licara flower seed to their queen, yet, not everyone in their race knew this which was why they still considered attacking him!
This was the case owing to the information they had missed out on earlier.
The cloaked, and masked man might have saved Alice Silvermoon, but that was not enough to allow his exit from the dome with a mutated Licara flower seed.
Because they didn\'t know what Kyle wanted to do with the seed, Sven and his unit had decided to search for the representatives of their race.
There were, at least, three of them present, given the importance the Queen of the Lahin kingdom gave to the mutated Licara flower seeds.
Using that reason, Sven and his soldiers had convinced the Lohars to not attack Kyle.
On the other hand Yasmine had also used some of her authority in order to prevent the other demi human races from focusing their attention on Kyle.
This was an exceptional feat by everyone who wanted to protect him, and it made things much easier for him!
Everything that happened after he decided against killing the Nasga surprised Kyle a lot.
A few hours went by, yet not a single participant attacked him.
He had seen a few Nasga, and even some Lohar that had eyed him for a few minutes, but that had been everything.
Confused about the sudden change in the situation, now his only opponents seemed to belong to the Aldra race.
Yet, even they began to act vigilant in front of him.
All in all Kyle was able to avoid most beings that came too close to him.
It was almost as if he could see everything inside the entire dome as he was swiftly moving around the biggest groups of people, some of which gave way for him to proceed further.
In fact, Kyle was even proficient in creating forced encounters between two different groups, where both sides held treasures from the Brawl.
Their countdown had always been lower than Kyle\'s.
Because of that, even if someone were to try attacking him, the attention of the groups would turn to the others.
None of the sides wanted the other party to leave the dome with a treasure in their hand.
They didn\'t even consider distributing the treasures amongst them fairly, which caused Kyle to smile lightly.
It would have made things so much easier if they had fought via words, instead of brute force.
The death of thousands of prodigies inside the Dome and more than a hundred thousand casualties in the war of the three parties was wasted, in his opinion.
Rather than fighting needlessly using weapons, it was much better to try talking with each other and sorting out the issues.
At least, this was something that should be considered as the most important step before resorting to violence.
However, Kyle had no say in what the three kingdoms did.
He was not involved in the political game inside the Shalivra valley, and something he never hoped to be associated with.
Unfortunately, Kyle believed that this was bound to happen as long as he grew stronger.
Being observed by the Quetzalcoatl, whose hues were the only thing he was able to see, along with the numerous Elders, Warlords, and Nobles of the different races, was certainly not something Kyle had wanted to achieve.
He was weak, and without any backing, which turned him into a perfect target to be assassinated, the moment he would become a threat for either party involved.
Despite that, Kyle knew that everything he had done in the last few days had been a necessity.
If he wouldn\'t have done certain things, the situation would have escalated even more, and Kyle could only remotely imagine what was going to happen.
There were too many unknown variables, and one of them was the Master of the entire Guild!
Being able to order around a Quetzalcoatl was certainly not an easy task.
This would mean that the existence that was operating the Guild was even grander, and it even noticed that a new Old Soul had appeared in the Shalivra valley.
\'I doubt he will invite me to join him,\' He thought, after faintly recalling the words of the Quetzalcoatl.
Guesswork was not something Kyle liked to do, but even if he didn\'t do it, he knew that Old Souls were too much of a dangerous variable for everyone.
As such, he wouldn\'t have many choices if he would be asked to join someone.
\'Either I\'m their ally, foe, or a partner in crime. I doubt that they would accept a neutral stance from an Old Soul…. Rather than neutral, they would want me dead by then, I guess?\'
Kyle was still new to the thoughts the Old Souls probably had as their wishes were far grander than those of ordinary beings.
But even then, there were not only powerful Old Souls, but also natural talents that had achieved great strength.
They were likely to have a mentality similar to that of Old Souls with only slight differences.
This forced Kyle to open his thoughts and accept many more possibilities than he was accustomed to.
It was quite irritating as he didn\'t like thinking too complex and using other beings in order to make them act in a way that benefited him.
The world of the powerful was simply brutal, quite annoying and too complex as numerous races schemed alongwith each other, only to plan on betraying them with other races when they deemed it fit.
Kyle couldn\'t help but feel that this was quite annoying and he wanted to think about other topic such as how to survive the remaining hours without exhausting himself a lot.
He knew that he had to face quite a few opponents head-on in the Brawl, but that was not something Kyle minded.
Rather, he had expected this to happen, and it excited him.
Because of that, the last few hours had been quite unexpected if Kyle were, to be honest to himself.
Yet, just as he was trying to make sense of things, the voice of the Qeutzalcoatl resounded through the mind of everyone present.
[What a great sight we have right here. Three alliances fighting against each other, yet, the Old Soul is still unscathed!!
How about we spice things a little bit up?]
The moment Kyle heard this, he felt like twisting the Quetzalcoatl\'s neck. This would be very nice, and relieving to his stress and the pressure that weighted on him.
To his misfortune, this required far more strength as the beast was a lot stronger than an ordinary chicken, forcing him to listen to the following words that rang through his mind over and over again.
[Finally, after traveling for several weeks, other races have arrived from all over the Shalivra valley!
They have gathered in the seemingly ordinary Sadorla forest, just for the lot of you…or to be precise the treasures you are holding!!]
