Perfect Revenge : CEO's Lovely Mistress

Chapter 131

Hearing the somber voice from her cell phone, Ella immediately answered and ended the call. She turned and looked at Liam who was sitting in the driver’s seat with a look of help. “Liam, can you take me to Christian’s company?”

Liam’s hands gripped the steering wheel tighter.

He didn’t want to hear anything about Christian from Ella’s mouth.

“Ella, are you doing this to me on purpose?”

How could Liam not understand the meaning behind Ella’s request? He knew that Ella wanted him to give up and not go after her anymore.

Ella wanted him to stop loving her. But if Liam gave up easily, he wouldn’t have returned to Indonesia.

Ella felt a little embarrassed by Liam’s words. It’s true she did it on purpose.

“Liam, you know what kind of person I am. You don’t have to waste your time on me. I don’t deserve it. Now I’m with Christian. I’m fine and you don’t have to worry about me anymore.”

.....

Ella looked out the window and said calmly, “You don’t have to blame yourself for leaving ten years ago. No one can predict the future. And, if you know about Christian, you already know about Haikal, right?”

Hearing Haikal’s name, Liam’s hands gripped the steering wheel even tighter.

Of course he knew the name.

Haikal Adisurya, Ella’s first love.

The only man Ella had loved for so long. The same man who had hurt her so deeply.

However, such a man was no threat to Liam.

“I know.”

“If all this hadn’t happened, I might have married him,” Ella tilted her head and looked at Liam. “No matter how the Maheswara Family treats me, our relationship will never change.”

Ella and Liam were never meant to be together.

“I’m late.” Liam’s eyes were gloomy, trying to hide the pain in his heart. “Perhaps things wouldn’t have turned out like this if I had returned sooner.”

If only he returned a month earlier than he did...

“There’s no point in regretting the past, Liam.”

Ella smiled and looked at Liam, just like when she said goodbye to Liam ten years ago.

Inwardly, she once again said goodbye.

‘Goodbye, Liam.’

For Ella, Liam was just someone that belonged to her past. The same past where Ella’s world was still full of joy, without any tears of sorrow.

Let those days become beautiful memories in her heart without the need to change them.

Liam’s heart became uncomfortable after this talk. Just as he was about to speak, Ella had spoken first. “Even if you returned early, I would never use you against the Maheswara Family. I’d still go to Christian’s place and ask him for help. That is a fact that will never change.”

Ella looked at the road in front of her and said, “At the crossroads ahead, turn left,” she smiled as she watched Liam take her word.

Maybe after she got out of this car today, they wouldn’t see each other again.

“Ella, if you need help from me, just say it,” Liam said to Ella before she got out of the car.

Ella looked at Liam with a smile without answering. After that, she turned and entered the building in front of her.

Liam’s car stops in front of Christian’s building for a long time. When he couldn’t see Ella’s back anymore, only then did he start the car and drive away.

The elevator slowly went up to the top floor. Ella touched the necklace around her neck and took a deep breath.

She wanted to ask Christian if she could take this necklace off.

Arriving in front of the CEO’s office, Ella raised her hand and knocked on the door, but didn’t get an answer for quite a while. Finally, she carefully opened the door to the room.

As soon as she entered the room and raised her head, Ella was shocked at the sight before her.

Christian was standing in the doorway looking at her grimly.

Ella almost screamed and grabbed the doorknob to prevent herself from staggering backwards. After seeing Christian’s figure, she forced a smile on her face. “Why are you standing here?”

The man didn’t answer Ella so she rushed over to him and took his arm. “Aren’t you tired of standing? Come sit down. You’ve worked hard. You should also remember to rest.” Ella was like a babysitter who really cared about her employer.

However, once again there was no reaction from Christian.

Ella was feeling frustrated right now. However, just as she was about to speak again, Christian caught her hand.

“How could this happen?”

It turned out that not only her palms were bleeding. Her wrist was also scratched when she fell earlier. However, since it was not treated quickly, the blood on her torn skin had dried up.

Ella pulled her hand back from Christian’s grip and said, “I accidentally fell.”

“Where did you fall?” Christian kept asking Ella.

Ella looked at the man in front of her with a questioning look. Does Christian care about her?

Ella frowned in annoyance. Christian didn’t answer and didn’t want to talk when Ella asked him. Now that Ella didn’t want to talk, Christian continued to interrogate her.

“On the way here,” Ella replied curtly.

“Stupid,” Christian said only that one word.

This woman fell on the road? Is her brain not fully developed yet?

Christian holds her chin and looks at her intently. “If you get hurt, why don’t you go to the hospital?”

“You called me and asked me to come right away. You gave me 10 minutes.” Ella looks satisfied when she manages to refute Christian.

While looking at Christian, she said softly, “For the sake of meeting you, I immediately came here. Christian, can you give me a small present?”

Ella’s arrival did make Christian happy. He removed his hand from Ella’s chin and wrapped his arms around her waist. “What do you want?”

“The necklace around my neck...” Ella tugged on the necklace and showed it to Christian. “Can I take it off? I only asked for this and nothing more.”

Ella looked at Christian as sincerely as she could.

She didn’t want to wear a necklace like this. Plus, this necklace was from Liam.

“Treat your wound first,” Christian frowned. He dialed the phone on his desk and asked his secretary to bring him a medicine box.

After looking at her from head to toe, Christian noticed that there was another wound on Ella’s knee. His eyes immediately darkened again.

“Did you really fall?”

“Yes,” Ella nodded. “If someone was bothering me, I would definitely tell you so you could help me to make them pay for it.”

She just said it carelessly. There’s no way Ella would report everyone who bullied her to Christian.

Plus, Christian was the one who bullied her the most.
