If he doesn’t hear it from you then it won’t even be special anymore! Rin already knew all this but she still felt scared! She squeezed down on Yue with more strength and Yue now knew that something was wrong. She would have been injured by now if she didn’t have powers! Rin was squeezing tight!

“I-I don’t even know if he wants a child! I never heard him talk about children before and we always made sure that we use protection! This is just because of a mistake that the protection didn’t work one time! What-What if he’s angry!?”

Did Rin just stutter? I’ve never heard her stutter before! Lily tsked in annoyance! What a stupid thing to worry about!Â

Rin rose her head up and glared at Lily with tears in her eyes and Lily rose her hand in surrender. Okay, fine! I was being insensitive!! Lily then tried to explain it in a calm, understanding way.

“Look, don’t be stupid!”

Okay, maybe not so calm and understanding.

“Han is not going to be angry! I don’t need to tell you this, but Han loves us just as much as we love him!! He’s out there right now and doing god knows what because he loves us! And we might not be happy that he is gone but I love that part of him too because it just makes me miss him more! He will be happy about this no matter who it was that is giving birth!”

Rin sniffed sadly. She knew that Lily was right, but she was just so emotional right now! Damn hormones! Making me doubt Han!!

Yue turned around and pet Rin on the head and Rin smiled through her tears as she hugged the small girl tighter! Yes, Lily is right! Han will not be angry with me for this child! She was so lucky to have this big family! She can’t wait for Han to come back!

Yuuma was sitting at the bar and having a drinking game with another patron – and the man was losing badly! Haha! – when Dyana came to tap her on the shoulder for her to talk! Yuuma shooed Dyana away and told her to allow her to win the game first! Dyana patiently waited for Yuuma to finish the last bottle and drown the poor man before she finally talked!

“When last did you hear from Han? Don’t you have a way to talk to him?”

Yuuma put her hand to Dyana’s mouth aggressively. She didn’t want any of the girls to know that Han gave her a way to talk to him! She stood up and dragged Dyana to another side. She knew that all the girls had super hearing so she will have to be very quiet!

“Han told me to only use it in emergencies when he has to be disturbed no matter what. I don’t want to use it all the time because he is usually very busy!!”

Yuuma wasn’t going to be using the shadow to talk to Han no matter what happens unless it is an emergency! He is currently on the higher floors and every single second there is dangerous for him. If she starts disturbing him at every moment to ask for something, then he will lose focus! She has to be considerate of him too!

Dyana nodded in understanding. No wonder Yuuma hasn’t told Han about the pregnancy yet. If Han ever heard about this baby then he will probably abandon everything and come here immediately, and that won’t be very good for anyone.

The girls didn’t know that this was exactly the sort of thing Han considered an emergency. Anything regarding his girls was an emergency!

But they have to find a way to make him come back so that Rin can talk to him. It’s not right for him not to know about his baby!

“Look, I’m just saying that it will be better for Han to know about the baby before it gets too far! He won’t be happy to hear that his girlfriend gave birth when he isn’t there!”

Yuuma felt the logic stab into her chest! If there is ever a serious situation, then I think your girlfriend being pregnant is definitely one of them! Han should know, yes, Han should know. Yuuma decided that she would tell Gregory to call Han back to the first floor for a while. It would be better if she made it look like some kind of emergency so that Han will come quick!

Yuuma and Dyana didn’t know it, but they were standing at the side of the restaurant where Fey and Ragnar were sitting, and even though the rest of the girls couldn’t hear them very well, Fey and Ragnar could! Once Ragnar heard the sentence ‘Han has to know about the baby’ he turns to his sister with the most condescending look a brother could ever give! You see! You and your damn cowardice! Now it might be too late!

Everyone knows that once a baby comes into a family it is usually difficult for the parents to want anything outside the family to come in contact with that baby. Fey was still a stranger to Han. A close stranger, yes, but still a stranger!

Fey glared back at him. There is no way Han will be like that! If he keeps people out of the family just because of a baby then it will be too out of character for him! Don’t you see the number of girlfriends he has!!?

Ragnar scoffed at his sister’s naivety. Does this girl think the world will just stop and wait for her? You better get your head in the game!

While all of that was happening, Han finally decided that he would call Rin to ask her how the experiment went. He knew that it was Yuuma he is supposed to call first because she is the one handling them, but he just missed talking to Rin. She is the one that has been with him from the very beginning so he decided to just call her instead.

Rin was the one handling the bar when Han’s voice came through the shadow hunter! The amount of shock the voice gave her almost made her drop an entire bottle of alcohol on the floor! The look on Yuuma’s face will make you think that Rin almost killed her!

Yuuma grabbed the bottle away from Rin and made sure there were no cracks! What is wrong with this woman!? This is exactly why I told you to stay in bed! You’re pregnant and so you won’t be at a hundred percent!

Yuuma and all the other girls had never taken care of a pregnant woman before so anytime Rin made even the smallest mistake they would always blame it on her pregnancy. Rin was starting to get really annoyed by it! She wasn’t even in her third week yet! The baby probably only has a heart right now and nothing else!

[Rin. You seem distracted]

Rin quickly brought herself out of her thoughts and ignored the look Yuuma was giving her. Go and drink the entire bottle if you want!

[Han, where are you? I can hear you but I can’t see you.]

Han nodded, even though he knew Rin couldn’t see him. He told her that he was talking through the Shadow Hunter in her shadow. It was strange to him that Yuuma didn’t tell Rin about it but he was sure she had a reason. He asked Rin how things were going back home and Rin chuckled nervously. How was she going to do this!?

[Uh. Everything is fine. But I think you should come back for some time. Maybe a day or two?]

Han rose a brow.

[Why? Did something happen while I was gone? Wait! Is it Rina and Kim!? Are they fine!?]

Rin waved her hand intensely!

[No! No! They’re fine! They got the system and they don’t have any side effects! But there is something I want to tell you and I need to see you… Please.]

Han was quiet on the other side for some time. He tried to think of a reason why Rin would suddenly want to see him? Did she do something that she has to tell him? There isn’t any sensible reason for him to go back right now.

But if Rin is asking so much then maybe I can leave for a day. It’s not like this floor would implode if I’m not there to hold it together. I’ll tell Gregory that he can take over for some time.

[Okay, I’ll be there, Rin. Just hold on]

Han cut off the connection and Rin breathed a sigh of relief. This is why she loved Han so much, he could tell when she really needed him. He didn’t even ask her too many questions so it didn’t become uncomfortable. She looked to the side as Yuuma rose her glass again.

“Mix me another? And don’t drop it this time!”

Rin rolled her eyes and went back to work.
