The Indifferent Young Master's Flash Marriage

Chapter 611 - Injured Because Of Her

Chapter 611: Injured Because Of Her

The wall lamp gave off a faint light and flowed on the faces of Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng.

Jiang Xuecheng carefully brought the food to Su Wan’s mouth, his expression was full of concern.

Su Wan saw the man’s appearance, and her eyes could not help but be a little absent-minded.

It was as if nothing had changed. The two of them were still in the Fontainebleau. He was a husband who loved her dearly, and was still willing to spoil her to the point of being unruly and capricious.

However, when would he remember her?

Happiness was flowing in the air around them.

Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng did not speak. Ever since they came to this godforsaken place, Su Wan had never felt so at ease.

At least, besides not remembering the past, Jiang Xuecheng was also a little childish. In fact, there were no other shortcomings.

Most importantly, they were still together, and that was good enough.

After eating, Su Wan felt that she could not keep up her spirits and was getting more and more drowsy.

She struggled to open her tired eyes and said softly to Jiang Xuecheng.

“Can you go back to sleep alone?”

Su Wan felt that her condition was not good. If she woke up tomorrow and Jiang Xuecheng was as difficult to deal with as last time, she might not be able to handle it.

Seeing Su Wan’s tired appearance, Jiang Xuecheng hesitated for a moment, but in the end, he still shook his head. He looked at Su Wan pitifully with a determined expression.

“Wan Wan, I feel that you’re sick. I’m afraid that something might happen to you, so I’d better keep an eye on you.”

There seemed to be a watery light lingering in those dark eyes, making it impossible for anyone to say no.

Su Wan’s forehead twitched. She looked at Jiang Xuecheng’s face and finally swallowed back her words. She nodded gently.

Leave tomorrow’s worries to be dealt with tomorrow. She could think about other things then.

With Jiang Xuecheng’s current negative IQ, she might refuse him in front and he might unlock the door and come in from behind.

After all, he was someone who had a key.

Jiang Xuecheng was overjoyed to see Su Wan give in. He looked extremely excited.

He hurriedly lifted the quilt and squeezed together with Su Wan. Like a big dog, he rubbed against Su Wan’s arm and carefully held her in his arms.

His expression was as if Su Wan was the most precious treasure in his life.

...

Su Wan had a very, very long dream.

She dreamed that when she was young, her amiable parents each held her hand and took her to walk along the road.

Later, she argued about eating candied haws and ran to the other side of the road alone. In the blink of an eye, her father and mother were nowhere to be seen...

Where were they?

How could her father and mother leave her alone?

Don’t leave Wan...

Su Wan’s brows were tightly knitted. Suddenly, she felt that she had grabbed onto something.

She held that thing tightly in her hand, as if she was in the vast sea. She was holding onto a piece of driftwood and was unwilling to leave it behind.

A thin layer of cold sweat appeared on Su Wan’s forehead. She panted violently for a few breaths and was extremely afraid.

Suddenly, a thick darkness attacked her. Su Wan shivered and suddenly opened her eyes.

What entered her eyes was a blinding light. The curtains were pulled open because of the rustling of the wind.

“You’re awake.”

A faint voice floated by her ear, like a clear spring water, deep and moving.

Su Wan opened her almond-shaped eyes in confusion. She followed the voice and looked at the person beside her. She saw Jiang Xuecheng sitting beside her and quietly looking at her.

His expression was cold, and his eyes were sharp. Obviously, he was no longer the ignorant child from last night.

“Did you have a nightmare?”

The man looked at her without blinking, and his tone was very certain.

However, he was a little curious. What did Su Wan dream about? Her expression looked so scared, and there was also a bit of reluctance.

“Yes.”

Su Wan nodded mechanically. Because of the nightmare just now, the fear in her heart had yet to dissipate and she did not know what to say for a moment.

“Do you still remember the dream? What did you dream of just now?”

Seeing Su Wan’s stunned expression, the emperor could not help but ask a few more questions.

Curiosity was an emotion that could be fatal, but at this moment, he did not want to suppress this emotion.

“I dreamed of my parents.”

Su Wan answered honestly. The young man saw her sad expression and suddenly remembered the information he had found.

Su Wan was born on a very small immigrant planet. Both her parents were dead and she was an orphan.

No wonder she had such an expression when she was dreaming.

“The dead are dead. If they were still alive, they would not want to see you so sad.”

The emperor stared at Su Wan and his tone softened.

He didn’t know why, but he didn’t like to see the sad expression on this woman’s face.

She was more suited to smile.

Su Wan opened her mouth and had a thousand words, but in the end, she only said a few dry words.

“Thank You, Your Highness, for your comforting...”

The young man nodded casually. Su Wan glanced at the bright sunlight outside the window and suddenly remembered something.

“Your Highness, what time is it in the morning? Should I get up and prepare breakfast...”

The man looked at Su Wan indifferently with a hint of mockery in his eyes...

“Breakfast? It’s time for lunch now.”

“Ah?!”

The man’s deep voice that sounded like flowing water flowed past her ears, causing Su Wan’s eyes to widen!

It was almost noon!

She had actually slept for so long?!

Moreover, the rarest thing was that this man actually did not wake her up...

If it was in the past, it would not be strange at all for such a thing to happen. But now, Su Wan felt that it was somewhat inconceivable.

This was too inconsistent with Jiang Xuecheng’s current character.

When did he become so understanding?

The emperor’s eyes flickered, not missing the obvious shock on Su Wan’s face.

A slight displeasure surfaced in his heart.

Did he really look like someone who liked to enslave others?

When he woke up in Su Wan’s bedroom today, he was a little surprised at first, but he quickly got used to it.

It was as if this was the most natural thing.

Moreover, when he saw Su Wan’s peaceful sleeping face, he realized that he actually didn’t have the heart to wake her up.

Thus, he simply let Su Wan sleep until now.

“Then I’ll go and make lunch for you now?”

Su Wan slightly raised her head and saw the handsome statue-like face of the other party. She carefully guessed the other party’s current thoughts.

“There’s no need. You don’t need to do these trivial things for the time being.”

“Ah?”

Su Wan was stunned. Then, she recalled what Jiang Xuecheng had said in the past. Her face suddenly turned pale. Could it be that Jiang Xuecheng had decided to chase her and Nono out of the God’s Palace because he felt that her culinary skills were not good?

“Your Highness, I–”

The man seemed to have guessed what Su Wan was thinking. He only left a cold sentence.

“I have other plans for you. We’ll talk after you wash up.”

As he said that, he turned around and was about to leave. Just as he stood up, Su Wan suddenly saw a trace of scarlet on the back of his hand.

It was a trace of blood.
