Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Chapter 1036: Inherited Legacy

Although the Yggdrasil of right now was merely the Memory of her true self, she was still the real deal, or well, a part of her. Even now, she was immensely power and is singlehandedly becoming the core of this entire Realm, aside from the Time Memory Fragment itself.

I had already faced what it was to meet with her in person, entering her immensely powerful Divine Soul was overwhelming. I wonder if all the Gods are like this, or even stronger.

Nonetheless, because to me she was still the real deal, or a piece of it, I had to ask her this.

"What\'s a Legacy, Lady Yggdrasil?"

"A Legacy is… Well, an Inheritance of sorts," she answered. "I do not know exactly how the Future manages such things, but I am fairly sure that Legacies remain within the World\'s Roots, a central and ethereal pillar that exists within everything.

The Legacy of Yggdrasil, of the Yggdragon, and of the other Gods is kept as both information and as a power, a latent power that can be given, gifted, to those that are qualified to become their successors."

"So its really like some sort of Inheritance then…" I nodded. "In that came, my evolutions gave me the Inheritance of Yggdrasil, the Yggdragon, and also of Hephaestus."

"That\'s right… Hephaestus, huh? He is a God I know, if you possess his Legacy, it also means he\'s gone…" Yggdrasil sighed. "I can already feel it anyways, their presences. The Gods watching above and the Demon King living beneath, they\'re all gone.

This world has become a peaceful one after that, but it remains strange, its foundations feel slightly foggy to me, as the only divine being remaining, I might need to settle its foundations better over time."

"Wait, the Gods of the past disappeared too?" Mark wondered.

"That\'s right, unfortunately. The Divine Presence of the Gods and the Darkness of the Demon King disappeared once this Fragment of the Past became a Realm within the Present," said Yggdrasil. "It seems that their existences could not be maintained, being even less than shadows of their former selves.

Therefore, once this Fragment of the Past turned into a Realm of the Present, their existences matched the Present where you come from, a Present where they are no longer alive…"

"So the Gods are dead… All of them?" Acorn gasped.

"I think Lady Planta had already guessed this, she talked about it before," Nieve commented.

"No longer alive…" I sighed. "But that\'s… I\'ve talked with them, the Gods, they\'re there. So how are they dead and not at the same time? I think only the main gods remain, but they\'re there!"

"You mean the Creator Gods, who originated first?" wondered Yggdrasil. "Yes, those must be my parents and those of Erebus. They crated me as the Yggdragon, and Erebus as the Demon King.

But if this Fragment of the Past settled itself within the Present, and their divine presences did not remain, it means that they\'re long dead, or that they have changed so much they\'re now completely different entities."

"That\'s weird… Just what are the Gods we\'ve met so far then?" Mark wondered. "I am honestly rather… worried myself. Almost every Player always met a god at the beginning, right? But what are they?"

"I think… Maybe they\'re Players too?" I wondered.

"What? How is that possible?" Acorn wondered. "But aren\'t Gods… Gods?"

"I don\'t know, but it felt that way now that I remember, their way of speaking wasn\'t like the people of Arcadia after all…" I said. "Ah, well, whatever, let\'s just move on."

"I would advice you to do so," Yggdrasil nodded. "Lingering too much on certain things you cannot resolve will only cause stagnation. Continue to move on, and progress. Now, my dear daughter, go met the people of Cloudia, and make new friends."

"Can I bring my siblings though?" Little Titania asked.

"Shaah!"

"Craah!"

"Gebobo…"

Saphee, Huginn, and Terra appeared by her side.

"I… suppose you can, yes," Yggdrasil nodded. "I will be fine now that this world has become a Realm instead, after all, Planta here can control how it works. If there\'s no Demon King, there\'s no immediate danger for me, and well, you\'re all too young anyways to protect me well, hehe."

"Mommy! I\'m strong!" Little Titania pouted cutely. "R-Right, auntie Planta?"

"Of course! Little Titania\'s the strongest!" I lifted her off the ground and carried her in my arms, kissing her cheek. "And if you\'re not strong enough yet, you should be able to Level Up now, so we might help you get even stronger."

"Yaaay!" Little Titania said happily, as she hugged me back and kissed my cheek in return. "I love you auntie! You\'re so nice! And you smell like flowers, and all the spirits are always happy with you! I think I feel it too, you\'re like a second mommy!"

"Hahaha, you think so?" I giggled.

"She\'s getting very attached already…" Mark said.

"Are you okay with calling Mark uncle, little Titania?" I asked her.

"It\'s fine! I wanted an uncle too!" Little Titania smiled.

"E-Eh? Me?!" Mark blushed a bit. "A-Ah, well, if you want to, I don\'t mean… Haha."

"Uncle and Auntie! Woow! My family got so big now! I can\'t believe it!" Little Titania was really happy when we showed up.

"Thank you for being there for her…" Yggdrasil thanked us again. "Although I feel a bit stronger than before, and less sleepy once this Fragment of the Past became a Realm of the Present, I still need to rest most of the time to regain my energies and spread life into the continent. You are being there for my daughter is very important for her growth and development.

Even with her siblings, which I made so they could bring her company, she\'s often very lonely…"

"It\'s fine mommy, we\'re no longer lonely!" Little Titania said. "Now let\'s go to Cloudia! I can hardly wait! I\'ve heard there\'s dragons, and majin, and elves there, right? It\'s so cool!" .net

"Haha, very well then! Let\'s go!"

We stepped into the portal leading to Cloudia with everyone else, landing in the middle of the Forgotten Valley City.
