Chapter 225: Various Clans
This was the message that Shinja had received when the Zombie fell to the ground.
"This thing is definitely not licking…" Shinja mused as he looked at the broken pieces of metal around him.
Unfortunately, the dual poison blades that had served Shinja faithfully for a very long time and the six Silver Night Knives that had shown the full might of Layla\'s telekinetic abilities were now broken pieces of metal.
They were all sacrificed in the heat of battle to secure their hard-won victory.
Despite the loss of their weapons, Shinja and Layla were still glad with the result of the battle.
"You did well, Layla…" Shinja commented to his partner this time. Layla\'s precise control over her floating knives was incredible and had truly helped him corner the Licker Zombie.
"I had a lot of practice acting as Sir Chaloem\'s support before this." Layla replied that she also thought that she did really well in the battle. She knew that she coordinated really well with Shinja despite being their first time fighting together.
With a shared glance of mutual respect and understanding, they knew that their bond grew stronger…
\'Although this person looked older, he doesn\'t look that bad…\' Layla thought to herself as she waited for Shinja to collect the body.
It seemed that Shane would have to loot it later.
"We should probably get a replacement for our weapons from Sir Leo…" Layla suggested.
"That\'s true… But I can\'t use a lower-tier weapon, so I hope that Lord Shane can lend me a decent weapon." Shinja said as he decided to meet Shane and directly request a decent weapon from him.

In the meantime, while Shane was able to deal with the seventh horde, the others weren\'t so lucky.
Several Level 1 and even Level 2 Clans had already been defeated. Though they were not completely eradicated, they had to scatter and leave their current territory in order to continue surviving until the time limit was over.
Some of them even had to bring the Zombies chasing them to other shelters. They may cause trouble to other Survivors, but it was a good solution to a problem that may result in their deaths.
Fleeing from the Zombie Wave may not get them any decent rewards but being able to survive was still considered a victory for them.
At this time, in an arena that served as the stronghold for the Drakeheart Vanguard Clan, Travis, the Half-Dragon leader, stood alone against the leader of the seventh zombie horde while the others were dealing with the Zombie Dogs, Runner Zombies, and Spitter Zombies in entry points of the arena.
Apparently, their numbers in this shelter had increased once again, exceeding two hundred survivors in total.
"Let\'s see what you\'ve got!"
Travis shouted as he imbued it with his Dragon\'s Roar that also gave a status and moral boost to his allies while it caused negative buff like fear and stun to enemies…
In front of him, however, was a formidable Tyrant Zombie, a towering monstrosity that could not be affected by a mere level 4 Survivor Skill.
Nonetheless, with scales gleaming in the dim light of the arena, Travis fought against the Tyrant Zombie with all his might!
He doesn\'t have the time to worry about the others.
Within this shelter, they should have enough force to fight against the seventh horde.
After all, from their population of over two hundred, they have a hundred and twenty people who possess talents suited for combat.
The remaining members, though invaluable in their own right for their contributions to production and other essential tasks, lacked the prowess needed to engage directly in the front lines.
Seeing that the Tyrant Zombie wasn\'t moving, Travis decided to make his first move.
"Haa!"
With a ferocious roar, he dashed forward to the Tyrant Zombie!

As it got closer to the end of the second Zombie Wave, similar events were happening in various regions.
The Shadowbinder Clan, under the leadership of Caius, found themselves locked in a desperate struggle for survival.
Their base, which was nestled in the shadows of an ancient forest, was already surrounded by numerous Zombies, and they were running low on resources and morale, as many of their members had already died in the process.
As the undead horde closed in on their sanctuary, Caius marshaled his forces, who all had the talent was related to Darkness… This was one of his requirements for people joining his Clan, after all.
His Clan only accepted Survivors with Talents related to Dark Sorcerers, Necromancers, and Shadow Arts. It didn\'t matter whether it was Uncommon or Rare as long as it matched the Clan\'s theme.
"Aim for a sure kill! It didn\'t matter if takes time, but make sure that each time you fired your guns, or released your skills, you must bring down one of them!
Meanwhile, in the heart of the desolate wastelands, the ROTK Clan, led by the Borin, braced themselves for the onslaught of the eight-zombie horde. Their shelter, a fortress made of steel and iron, stood like an impenetrable fortress.
They had about a three hundred people in their Shelter and, but during the Zombie Wave, only 100 of them were left!
"We\'re going to flee at this rate…" Borin muttered.
He surveyed the battlefield with a keen eye, and he knew that they were losing. The last wave would surely become unbearable later on.
However, despite that, he still issued orders to his troops to fight with all their might...
With disciplined movement, the ROTK Clan members formed a phalanx of shields and spears, a wall of steel that stood between their shelter, and the horde of zombies that hungered for their flesh! Each member of the ROTK Clan appeared like a seasoned warrior!
But it was actually all thanks to their Clan Members who were able to extract Steel and Iron, and several blacksmiths working together…
"We will be the one getting the first place for this Zombie Wave! Kill!"
