Naval Gacha System: It's Time To Monopolize The Seven Seas!

Chapter 129: | 129 | Southern Troubles

"Is that a ship?" One of the crewmen questioned while staring at the tiny silhouette in the far distance. Another one stepped forward and remarked. "The colony has issued a ban in sailing because of some complicated circumstances."

"Every trading ship belonging to the colonial dominion should have been relayed the closure of our ports to outsiders." Because of unknown reasons never told to them, the colony has closed all of its ports and banned the action of sailing out or in the island.

"Are they a foreign merchant ship?" Another crewman suggested. It made sense as foreign merchants weren\'t connected to the colony in comparison to the local ones.

Before anyone could utter another word, several colonial guards began gathering in the docks. The crewmen who were unloading their goods felt dumbfounded by the tension culminating in the air. After all, out of nowhere, the colonial guards began acting as though they were preparing for war.

"Hey, what\'s going on?" One of the crewmen questioned the guards, who merely looked at him and ignored his existence. This made the crewmen even more confused, but a colonial commander soon stepped forward and explained the situation.

"All of you should retreat from what you are doing. All northern docks have been closed off and filled to the brim with guards. I won\'t say much, but I guess war is coming to this colony." The colonial commander sighed to himself.

He was aware of the situation scattered throughout the Colonial Dominion. One after another, colonies were being attacked by an unknown force. Though, to them, it wasn\'t an unknown force as the attackers were fairly obvious.

\'The United Navy... They consider themselves as liberators, which means that this colony full of slaves will be one of their top targets. It seems that the colonial governor wasn\'t wrong about the United Navy targeting us.\'

While he was a colonial commander, he disliked war the most as it was entirely chaotic and shrouded with death. War was difficult to make sense. Which was why he\'d rather avoid it.

But he was one of the colonial commanders of the colony, Austerus. He simply couldn\'t back away in the first sign of trouble. He needed to fight and defend the colony as it was his duty to do so.

\'However, I didn\'t think that the United Navy would only send a single warship in a colony that has an army of five thousand men. Are they underestimating us? Or are they that confident?\' The colonial commander hoped that it would be the former.

"At any rate, the northern shores will turn into a warzone in the not-so-far future. You should evacuate from the port and this city." The colonial commander ordered the crewmen, who nodded in understanding.

They didn\'t hesitate to follow the orders of the colonial commander. They understood that he wouldn\'t lie about the situation of the colony. If his words were to be taken seriously, war was literally heading towards their colony.

Seeing the crewmen scatter and evacuate themselves from the area, the colonial commander turned his attention to the colonial guards who were arming the docks with cannons.

It would be a bloody battle, and he hoped he would survive it.

Though, this wasn\'t the time to be meek. It was time for him to raise their morale, and also his. So, the colonial commander stood in the shore wall of the port city and yelled out.

"Hear me! We will be fighting against a force that has destroyed a colony and will continue destroying more. They are so powerful that the Colonial Dominion of Terra decided to gather its forces into its shores to protect itself."

"But so what? We are the southern colony of Austerus. The riches of the south, and the strongest. Regardless of how many forces the so-called United Navy sends, we will defeat them and achieve victory!"

After the colonial commander ended his speech, the colonial guards who were somewhat low in morale began to regain themselves. They looked at the commander with determination and roared.

"We will defend our shores! We will not let them pass! We will repel them from the colony!"

"We will defend our shores!! We will not let them pass!! We will repel them from the colony!!"

"We will defend our shores!!! We will not let them pass!!! We will repel them from the colony!!!"

The cries of the colonial guards resounded throughout the northern shores of the port city. Their roars were like thunder, commanding the very air they resided in.

"For Austerus!" "For Austerus!" "For Austerus!"

Seeing his riled up and determined men, the colonial commander smirked as he finally felt that they had a chance against their upcoming adversaries. He could only hope that their enemies underestimated them and sent a weaker force.

However, it was saddening for the colonial commander of the port city. After all, the United Navy would never underestimate their enemies. They would send a force with the corresponding power to handle its targets.

This was achieve through their intricate intelligence network and analysis team. The estimated military strength of the colonies surrounding the United Navy had already been thoroughly analyzed. Afterward was the beginning of the various operations.

And so, the United Navy sent the UNS Guardian of the Seas into the northern shores of Austerus. A single amphibious assault ship, but it was enough. After all, with them... were the main force of the Special Response Unit, and its leader...

The Dragon of the United Navy, Laplace.

...

Meanwhile, on the bow of the UNS Guardian of the Seas, a silver-haired girl with dark horns and black tail stood against the wind. Her golden-irises glimmered with authority as she gazed into the northern shores of the colony in her guillotine.

"It looks like they are expecting us." Laplace muttered to herself, though a smirk remained on her face. Normally, she would have gotten her men to handle the defending forces in the northern shores.

After all, she wanted them to gain some experience during the operation. However, things weren\'t always meant to be, and Laplace didn\'t plan in staying in the south for quite some time.

While they go through the operation, the Port of Dawn remains defenseless against enemy attacks. With most of the naval forces outside of Crescere\'s influence, who knows what could happen.

\'Abraham is strong, he could probably handle himself. But he has his responsibility as the Fleet Admiral of the United Navy. His duty is to protect the Port of Dawn, and if some situation arises where he needs to risk his life for it. He would do so without hesitation.\'

\'This must be avoided.\' Laplace quietly thought to herself, solidifying her plans in the upcoming operation. She simply couldn\'t avoid her pose as the lieutenant colonel of the special response unit. So, the operation must end as fast as possible.

How? Well, the answer was fairly simple. She would handle everything herself. Destruction was the best thing she was good at, and it was the thing that this horrific colony needed the most.

With this in mind, she turned her gaze towards the bridge and nodded at it. Afterward, she jumped from the bow of the UNS Guardian of the Seas and propelled herself into the heavens.

The UNS Guardian of the Seas trembled with her action as it went deeper into the water by two meters. Luckily, the bow wasn\'t devastated by Laplace\'s jump. The force was transferred easily into the seas below the metallic warship.

Anyhow, in the heavens above, Laplace observed the northern shores who were riddled with fortifications and defenses. After making note of every one of them, Laplace closed her eyelids and gathered her power.

Through her evolution, she had become stronger than ever before. The three primal beast deities wouldn\'t stand a chance against her, unless of course, they also ate their own elder hearth.

Nonetheless, her ability to utter destruction had been multiplied into a hundredfold. There was no need for her to unleash her breath of flames or to slam her body into the ground to destroy her enemies.

What she needed was time and patience.

"I rarely return to my true form since it impedes me from my goal of being with Abraham. But since he isn\'t with me at the moment, I don\'t have any reason to hesitate." Laplace mumbled as her eyes glowed in golden neon hue.

*Bang!*

A golden and brilliant arc of lightning enveloped her body as her human silhouette slowly transformed into its dragon-serpentine form. In a mere moment following the radiance in the heavens, what emerged was nature\'s strongest weapon.

Her eastern dragon form had grown larger than ever before. She had reached the length of 1,000 meters and the diameter of 75 meters. Her black scales glimmered in the light of the luminescent sun, while her golden eyes lustered in dominion.

The Dragon has emerged!
