Sky-cracking Rider

Chapter 109: Section 109 - No Winners

The "Big Mouth Monster," no longer sneaking around, swaggered away boldly.

Leaving behind an aircrew base like hell on earth.

In the rear seat of the cockpit, Chen Fei tore open a vacuum-packed bag that was still hot.

Inside was a plump pig\'s trotter. Kiss it, muah! And a big bite, chomp!

"What does it taste like?"

While piloting the aircraft, Chekhov sniffed hard and couldn\'t help swallowing his saliva.

"Nothing... at all!"

Chen Fei mumbled, speaking against his conscience.

Poisoning in the dead of night, isn\'t that just normal procedure?

"No, you\'re lying to me, you\'re hogging it all to yourself, right? You can\'t eat alone, share half with me!"

Chekhov had gulped down a bellyful of Erguotou and was extremely hungry, immediately starting to make a fuss.

"No, keep dreaming!"

Chen Fei had no intention of sharing with this Big Bear. With this guy\'s size, what he had in his hands probably wouldn\'t even be enough to fill the gaps between his teeth.

"Don\'t lie, lying is bad, you have some, share it quickly!"

The Big Bear started acting shameless, insisting on sharing Chen Fei\'s food.

"No, no, there isn\'t any!"

Chen Fei picked up the Blue Star Erguotou bottle thrown earlier and started banging it against the other\'s helmet.

"No!"

Bang!

"No!"

Bang!

"No!"

Bang!

...

Finally got his chance.

The whole "Big Mouth Monster" began to wobble in the sky.

-

At dawn, an A-39B "Big Mouth Monster" turboprop attack aircraft, facing the rising sun, descended toward the Main Runway at the 911 Aircrew Base.

The landing gear touched down on the ground, then bounced up once, twice, thrice, and finally settled completely.

A perfectly good turboprop aircraft was harshly turned into a tricycle.

No sooner had the "Big Mouth Monster" steadied than the cockpit canopy was hastily pushed open, the pilot in the rear seat fumbling to get out of his harness, tumbling out, slipping, and crash-landing on the wing, then slipping down the side and smacking horizontally onto the ground.

After lying there for a moment, he finally got up with a grimace, shaking his head and taking deep breaths.

A thunderous snoring sound came from the cockpit.

"Oh dear, finally saved."

Chen Fei vigorously fanned in front of his mouth and nose with his hand.

He had knocked the already drunk Big Bear unconscious with the Erguotou bottle, or more precisely, knocked him to sleep.

No one believes a liquor bottle could break the defense of his thick-skinned face, bullet-proof against armor-piercing shells.

The snoring was thunderous, he slept, and to make matters worse, he wet himself without wearing adult diapers, wetting right there in his pants.

For the sealed cockpit, this was nothing short of a disaster.

Every inch of the cockpit was filled with a thick Russian urine smell, and even wearing an oxygen mask didn\'t help.

The plane had not gone out of control when Chekhov suddenly fell asleep because on the one hand, the airframe was designed for static stability, releasing the stick would automatically level it, and on the other hand, the "Big Mouth Monster" inherently had the lineage of a trainer, with both the front and the rear seats having full authority to control the airframe, even if the fire control operator took the front seat and the main pilot took the back seat, there was no issue.

As soon as the snoring started, Chen Fei took over the entire aircraft, following satellite navigation and his familiarity with the terrain, he groped his way back to 911 Aircrew Base.

The aircraft number 211 didn\'t glide into the parking apron but instead stopped at the end of the taxiway.

Before long, an on-duty deputy manager, Worman Hadler, rushed over in a rage.

Under the executive manager of the aircrew base, there were two deputy managers, one responsible for life logistics, and the other for combat logistics.

For a while, no one could find Manager Hanna, so Deputy Manager Worman Hadler had to take charge personally.

No one could find Manager Hanna, so the deputy had to step up himself.

"What on earth is going on, why did you take off without authorization, what are you trying to do? Let me tell you, this is very serious..."

Worman Hadler spewed his anger at Chen Fei, who was fertilizing the lush green grass beside the runway.

When aircraft number 211 loaded with ammunition soared into the sky, its unknown whereabouts frightened many.

If it hadn\'t been for those drunkards on the apron telling them that Squadron Leader Chekhov of the "Genuine Fragrance" had taken the rookie to check out the 909 Aircrew Base, they might even have suspected they had defected.

If it weren\'t for the fact most pilots were dead drunk and except for Major Chekhov, no one could fly the two MiG-28 Jet Fighters, perhaps the duty manager on call would\'ve ordered someone to chase down Chekhov immediately for taking off without orders.

For the current situation at Aircrew Base 911, this was not the worst yet.

During the corporate wars, the "Genuine Fragrance" Combat Flight Squadron was the only thing the entire base relied on for self-preservation, and every pilot was incredibly precious.

If, for no good reason, they were to lose one of the best squadron leaders and another pilot, even if the latter was a rookie who hadn\'t even gotten used to the joystick, it would be a death sentence for everyone at Aircrew Base 911.

They would lose at least half their air control.

"It\'s not my fault, it\'s his!"

Chen Fei pointed righteously at the front seat of the cockpit.

He was more than willing to pass the buck to the Big Bear—yes, that one. Hang it up, skin it, sprinkle it with Sichuan peppercorn and salt, let it dry in the wind. Eighteen days later, it would make a fine side dish for drinking.

"Him?"

Deputy Manager Wolman Hadler was startled and looked towards the cockpit, immediately hearing a pig-slaughtering snore, with someone still inside.

Leaning over and jumping up to look inside, a strong smell of urine hit him in the face, almost knocking out the old white-haired man.

Where did they find this "biological weapon"? The smell was overwhelming.

"Chekhov? What happened to him?"

Wolman Hadler looked at Chen Fei in surprise.

What on earth did you two do all night?

The cockpit was about to turn into a urine tank.

"He drank too much!"

Chen Fei spread his hands. It wasn\'t his concern if the Big Bear drank too much.

Who knows how much that Big Bear had drunk; its relieving capacity was astounding.

"..."

The deputy manager was so angry his face turned green. He would find Manager Hanna and deal properly with these two audaciously reckless individuals.

Thus, Comrade Chekhov Leonidovich Ivanov was bewilderingly confined yet again.

As for Chen Fei, seeing that he was a rookie, they didn\'t pursue the matter. He was given a water pistol and tasked with cleaning the cockpit of Plane 211, washing and scrubbing...

In the wee hours, news that Aircrew Base 909 had been attacked only belatedly arrived at Aircrew Base 911 around three in the afternoon.

The internal strife within the Apocalypse Defense Group affected the intelligence systems, slowing down the rate at which Aircrew Base 911 in the Xingdu Kush Mountain Area received external news by more than a beat.

According to the battle damage report received by the Blue Star Global United Defense Committee, the control tower and radar at Aircrew Base 909 were struck by missiles, accompanied by indiscriminate hits from EMP electromagnetic pulse missiles. Many devices were scrambled even if they looked intact on the outside. The runways\' MiG fighters were completely destroyed, none spared.

The explosion ignited nearby hangars, burning them throughout the morning until most of the structure collapsed, and personnel exhausted all efforts to stop the fire from reaching the fuel depot.

The losses in buildings, equipment, and materials were not the worst part. In the attack, 87 personnel were instantly killed, with nearly one-third of them unidentifiable. There were 14 severely injured, another 67 lightly injured, and 5 missing, who were presumed dead.

The Combat Flight Squadron stationed there was entirely wiped out. From the Merman Brothers Consortium\'s "Zero Point" Squadron, only the squadron leader "Titan" survived with minor injuries; all other pilots died in the final airstrike.

This merciless bombing of the living quarters was exceedingly cruel.

After all, being a private military contractor, they dealt with either magical beasts or mutants, never expecting that the people from Aircrew Base 911 hadn\'t planned in preparing for another round but instead made a direct night raid.

A single lethal precision strike from a Big Mouth Monster directly crippled the entire Aircrew Base 909.

The military contractor of Aircrew Base 909 was despondent, probably going to vomit blood for a long time.

The Merman Brothers Consortium, sharing Aircrew Base 909, also suffered significant losses. Two squadrons of Big Mouth Monster turboprop aircraft lost half their numbers in battle, and the remaining half was lost in the predawn attack, essentially annihilating them. Also, a full complement MiG jet elite squadron lost almost all their personnel except for the squadron leader.

The loss of these pilots and fighters alone was sufficient to annihilate two bases like Aircrew Base 911, not to mention the preemptive ground elite squad.

A mage, two supernatural power users, and one War Professional, such a combination should have been fail-safe in a surprise attack. However, no one expected that a Dark Elemental Psychic excelling in assassination along with the augmented Optical Camouflage Suit would be eliminated first. The retaliatory response from Aircrew Base 911 came swift and fierce.

It was a surprise that such a small airbase housed two supernatural power users and a Neanderthal Elite Warrior. Although he was old, he managed not to falter in a fight with a Sixth Rank Human Order War Professional empowered by Battle Qi even after releasing his Secret Technique.

In the end, only this War Professional managed to escape alone, barely evading capture.

-

"Attention! Fire!"

Bang!~

Ten gunshots sounded as one.

On the lawn near the main runway, 31 bodies wrapped in white cloths lay neatly arranged, stacked over a thick layer of firewood.

"Fire!"

Bang!~

"Fire!"

Bang!~

After three volleys by the neatly arranged security personnel.

The long-missing female executive manager Hanna Gagel reappeared before everyone, holding a torch, and lit the bodies one by one.

The flames quickly rose, engulfing the white cloths.

All employees of Aircrew Base 911, except those on duty, gathered on the lawn, silently watching their fallen colleagues, standing solemnly.

Chen Fei\'s gaze never left one of the bodies next to which a sharp, slender, cold weapon was inserted. He sniffed, his eyes slightly reddening.

Among those cremated on-site was also the body of Neanderthal Elder Barut.
