Bloodlines Online

Chapter 51: Impact

He would be working the night shift for that day but he would be able to handle it, when checking his phone he saw a strange message from his uncle though.

"Please be to the restaurant by 3pm, I have to discuss something with everyone."

When he woke up it was 1:25 so he had an hour to get ready.

When he got downstairs his mother was already gone for her own job but she had left a note on the table.

"Gina will come to pick you up for work today, your uncle wants everyone there by three for some reason.

Have fun at work love you baby."

Ezekiel made a quick meal since he had just woken up and while eating he checked the online news about BLO.

What he saw made him laugh, clips of his group running to the forest were eveywhere from different angles and showing off the leaderboard of the dungeon.

Comments on the clips were identifying who each player was, War God and Shade were well known streamers apparently and their streams were already known online.

People made assumptions about who was who, they figured out that Ezekiel was Belial because of the name being based on a demon which left Hope being the beastfolk.

Their descriptions were everywhere now.

When he heard the knock on the door he left to check it and outside was his cousin Gina.

They left for the day to go to the restaurant.

~

"Alright everyone listen up, this game that just came out is already looking good. This game is going to going to get popular fast i can just feel it."

He had closed the doors for this meeting, he even provided everyone with a meal as they would if they were working.

"I want to be the first to step into this new form of entertainment, if we can get more customers through this game then we will pioneer this trend."

He clapped his hands and a group of workers came out to begin installing screens on each booth.

"I want to make it so our diners can watch streams of this game, specifically i would let our diners watch those of you who play this game stream to the restaurant!"

He then handed each person a paper.

"If you already play the game then i want you to know that you have the option of being one of our contracted entertainers, you would get a raise and half of your scheduled shifts will be as streamers."

Looking at the paper Ezekiel saw that not only would the streamers get another dollar fifty an hour but they would also get to alternate with others on who gets to play and who works the floor.

This sounded like a dream come true so he began to write his character information in the sheet.

All it needed was his character name and his current level.

He also saw that only two other people were putting their information in which meant they were players, but everyone was signing up to get to be streamers for the restaurant.

When everyone was turning their sheets in they were brought to see the game pods that had been delivered that day in preparation for the future.

~

Alexander exited his game pod and immediately went to shower, he knew that the worst part about exiting the game wasn\'t the body ache but the smell of being unwashed for a whole day.

While drying himself off he went to the game forums to see if anything special happened, what he saw astonished him.

The first completion of a hardmode dungeon.

In his own gameplay he turned off server notifications so he wouldn\'t be annoyed by them but now he regretted it because he had lost the chance for a piece of unique gear.

In BLO unique quality gear was mad specifically for the player rather than generic gear that could be used by a class.

Each piece of unique gear would be made as part of a set and if you got all five pieces of the set then you would gain immense power according to the only player who had ever achieved it.

While he was thinking about the next paths for gaining unique gear he saw something in the clip of the party who made the achievement.

He saw players that he knew very well because of their fame.

War God, a demon player who pretended to be male to avoid harassment but was eventually outed as a female player.

She was the leader of a clan that would eventually become one of the greatest in the game.

Shade, an elven player that became famous for being an expert assassin in team battles.

Hope, a beastkin that became famous for being able to bring any ally from the brink of death and even found a way to bypass the healing negation of the cauterized effect.

He was trying to remember who Belial was... when he saw them.

He knew that devil.

When he saw Belial his memory of a powerful mage shredding through a boss like paper with wings made of thousands of needles made of shadow magic.

\'It\'s him! That mage, i have to get that mage on my side."
