Chapter 562: Rong Weiwei has come
The host, seeing that the time was about right, took the initiative to tell the journalists below that they were beginning. Then she smiled and introduced the movie to the audience before releasing a part of the film’s teaser trailer.
“Three Kingdoms” had attracted a lot of attention since the start of filming, and the hype was real. Many media outlets had high expectations that the film would be a blockbuster.
Therefore, there were many media outlets present, at least a hundred showed up.
After watching the teaser trailer of the film, they started flashing their cameras non-stop at the stage.
Following the conclusion of the trailer, the host timely announced, “Alright, you have all seen our unreleased teaser trailer, and now you can ask questions to the film’s creators.”
At movie premieres like this, there are always journalists arranged by the film side. As soon as the host finished speaking, immediately a journalist raised their hand.
“Okay, this journalist friend here.”
The selected journalist took the microphone and asked the director, “May I ask what led you to choose this film initially? We know you prefer to direct martial arts films, and ‘The Three Kingdoms’ is set against a backdrop with relatively complex and nuanced characters and storylines, which is not your usual style. So, I’m very curious about what made you take on the director’s role for this film.”
The director smiled and took the microphone, replying, “Well, there wasn’t much to it, I was simply touched by the screenplay. It’s rare to see such an appealing script. The moment I finished reading it, I contacted the screenwriter, hoping to collaborate with her. After communicating my thoughts on the screenplay, we reached an agreement, and that led to the filming of ‘Three Kingdoms’.”
His answer was very standardized, and the journalist knew that at premiere interviews, one usually gets such standardized responses and was no longer surprised by it.
After the director answered the media’s questions, the host selected a few more journalists, who took turns asking questions to the male lead, the female lead, the main cast, the screenwriter, and the producer.
Rong Yan was also asked two questions, which she handled with ease.
As the journalists finished their round of questioning and the basic procedure was completed, Rong Yan thought it was about time for the organizers to invite the journalists to watch the movie.
But just at that moment, the host suddenly took the microphone and said with a laugh, “Actually, in addition to today’s main creators of the movie, we have invited a good friend of the director to help promote the film.”
Rong Yan had looked at the event schedule Estelle sent her before coming, and there was no such segment on it.
She furrowed her brows, not knowing why, but suddenly getting a bad feeling.
Sure enough, after the host built up some suspense, she addressed the hundreds of media outlets present, “Let’s welcome our mystery guest—Rong Weiwei, Weiwei!”
As soon as the host’s voice fell, the journalists below erupted into a commotion, starting a heated discussion.
“Rong Weiwei is also here? What’s the situation, is the production crew trying to stir up topics?”
“Wasn’t Rong Weiwei just ordered by the court to apologize to Rong Yan? How could the two of them appear at the same event? Does Rong Yan know about this?”
“I heard Rong Weiwei got that tribute film, and she’s in the limelight now, probably trying to regain some ground, right?”
“Who cares, now there’s another explosive story to write about!”
The journalists all had the attitude of loving to watch the excitement without fearing the trouble it might bring, setting up their cameras and snapping away furiously at the stage.
