Chapter 330: 194 “Remnant Habits” and “Another Year” (Please Subscribe) _2

Sometimes he doubts if Milton Cheney is even his son. Not only is he extraordinarily gifted on the Path of the Knight, but he can also blaze a new trail on the Wizard Path and become an advanced-level wizard.

Compared to him, his youngest son…

Even he as an Epic Knight and a Wizard Apprentice does not seem to amount to much.

When Milton Cheney appeared again, he was already in the void outside the Wizard Realm.

In the void…

Milton Cheney conjured up the Book of Truth with a flick of his spiritual power.

The next moment, the Book of Truth appeared, floating in front of him.

Milton’s spiritual power attached itself to the Book of Truth, and it automatically turned its pages, a white light emerging and enveloping Milton’s body.

However, as the white light from the Book of Truth shrouded his body, a trace of helplessness appeared on his face.

“It seems that habits indeed are hard to change.”

Milton muttered to himself.

The next moment, he put away the Book of Truth.

Milton nearly forgot, the Four Guardian Seas were not merged at this moment, and he did not need to call out the Book of Truth to return to the South Guardian Sea.

The South Guardian Sea was still within the Third Rift of the Wizard Realm.

The inter-realm war between the Wizard Realm and the Bloody Sea Realm had just begun only a few decades ago.

It would still be hundreds of years until the Bloody Sea Realm was devoured.

The conquest of other worlds by Guardian Sea would only happen a thousand years from now.

For the present Milton, all of this was still very far away.

And the things that would happen in the future, thousands of years from now, even Milton, who had gone through a True Body simulation, would not dare to fully affirm.

After all, he knew very well that the future was not static and that it could be changed.

His countless simulation experiences had taught him that the future could indeed be changed.

A thousand years is a long time. Whether the future will definitely be changed, Milton does not know.

However, he knew very well that his future definitely could not remain unchanged.

After all, possessing a simulator and not having one represent completely different futures.

But all of this was quite far away from him.

Having already experienced two thousand years, he knew how long a thousand years is.

Just like how he feels right now, memories formed from the real experiences of thousands of years are not something that one can fully adapt to in an instant.

For him to fully adapt, he might have to spend some more time.

Of course, this time will not be too long.

After all, Milton’s adaptability is extremely strong.

Without overthinking, Milton, who put the Book of Truth back into his Spiritual Sea, moved and disappeared within the void.

When he manifested once again, he was already in the Guardian Sea.

The Guardian Sea, a realm of pure white.

Milton, who appeared here suddenly, unconsciously surveyed the surrounding environment.

It was exactly the same as the Pure White Sea region two thousand years later, without a single difference.

Milton only glanced at it for a moment before shifting his gaze.

After all, he was too familiar with this place, even though he had ended the True Body simulation and had returned to the time two thousand years ago.

But the things that still exist in the Guardian Sea two thousand years later naturally did not stir any emotions in Milton.

The next moment, Milton didn’t linger on the Guardian Sea.

Instead, he activated the coordinates of the Book of Truth in his Spiritual Sea and returned to his Wizard Tower.

The Wizard Tower was still the same Wizard Tower, without any changes.

Milton did not look at the environment of the Wizard Tower, but directly sat cross-legged at the array center of the Wizard Tower.

When Milton Cheney started to practice the Meditation Technique using the meditation routes, he indeed had a different feeling.

No matter how real the True Body Simulation is, no matter how similar it is to reality.

But a simulation is still a simulation, even if it’s similar to reality, it is still not reality.

So when Milton was once again practicing the Meditation Technique in reality, indeed it felt different than during the True Body Simulation.

Of course, this feeling is mainly psychological.

After all, by practicing the Meditation Technique in the Wizard Tower, during the True Body Simulation, he had already practiced for at least several hundred years.

This is the total time he has spent practicing the Meditation Technique in the Wizard Tower.

Although this time is not long compared to the two thousand plus years in the True Body Simulation, a few hundred years is not really that long.

But in the True Body Simulation, Milton only spent several hundred years in the Guardian Sea.

After all, in the True Body Simulation, he spent a thousand years in the Soul Realm, not in Guardian Sea.

Excluding the millennium, much of Milton Cheney’s time was spent fulfilling his duties within the Guardian Sea.

He spent hundreds of years in the Guardian Sea.

During this time, he devoted most of it to practicing the Meditation Technique in the Wizard Tower.

After all, though he’d been a part of the Guardian Sea for a while, he didn’t know many people there.

Let alone friends; he had practically none.

While Milton was in the Guardian Sea, apart from replenishing cultivation resources, the rest of his time was almost entirely dedicated to practicing the Meditation Technique.

And even though the Meditation Technique wouldn’t progress as quickly when he wasn’t in the Guardian Sea, Milton never gave up practicing it.

So it was quite normal for him to attain the equivalent of several Text Simulations from this one True Body Simulation.

“The pace of practicing the Meditation Technique is a bit slower after all.”

These thoughts inevitably arose within Milton’s heart after he began practicing Meditation Technique along his usual Meditation Routes.

The reason for these thoughts was simple.

During his True Body Simulation, the hundreds of years after he returned to the Guardian Sea from the Soul Realm was actually when he progressed the fastest in practicing the Meditation Technique.

That was the time when the Four Guardian Seas unified.

The effect of the wizard spells from all four directions was tremendous.

Compared to that time, the speed of Milton’s current practice of the Meditation Technique was indeed slower in the Wizard Tower.

But Milton merely sighed; he naturally wouldn’t stop cultivating because the pace of practicing the Meditation Technique had eased off.

While practicing the Meditation Technique, Milton was able to clear his mind of all distractions.

Accustomed to six months or even a year’s worth of Meditation time in a single session, this was how Milton practiced his Meditation Technique in reality as well.

After all, a habit formed over thousands of years could not be broken in a mere moment.

Time passed and in the blink of an eye, nine months had gone by.

Guardian Sea, Wizard Tower.

Milton, who had been sitting cross-legged in the center of the array, opened his eyes.

The next moment, the Spiritual Power swirling around his body surged into his Spiritual Sea.

“Huh”

He exhaled a breath of turbid air.

This round of Meditation Practices in reality did give Milton the sense of returning to reality.

A session of Meditation Practices took almost a year, approaching a double-digit month’s length.

If it were the previous Milton, he certainly wouldn’t have spent so much time this way.

But the current Milton, fell into a rhythm where once he began cultivating, he couldn’t stop.

After all, he could distinctly feel his Spiritual Power gradually increasing, and that feeling was indeed wonderful.

That was Milton intentionally stopping this meditation. If he had fully let himself go and was not concerned with anything else, he could have continued cultivating for even ten years or so.

This was not an exaggeration or a figment of Milton’s imagination, it was indeed so.

Because in the True Body Simulation, the longest Milton had ever meditated was a full twelve years.

This was the time of a single Meditation Practice, meaning he continuously followed the Meditation Routes for twelve years without any interruption.

Of course, that was the longest time.

Milton generally wouldn’t meditate for such long stretches.

It was usually around three years.

This time, Milton had purposely restrained himself.

After all, reality was slightly different from the True Body Simulation.

At least there were no visible panels in the True Body Simulation, nor were there any accumulation of Simulation Counts.

The major reason that Milton willingly ended this meditation practice was that he was able to take part in the simulation again.

Milton, sitting cross-legged on the ground, didn’t get up.

An invisible panel, unseen to anyone but Milton, suddenly appeared before his eyes.

[Text Simulation Count: 2]

[Do you wish to start the Text Simulation?]

Yes, a year had passed since the end of the True Body Simulation.

Two counts of Text Simulation had accumulated.

“Yes.”

Milton hesitated no more and began the Text Simulation.

PS: This True Body Simulation passage was long. Later ones will be shorter, except those of utmost importance.
