The Wizard Path From The Simulator

Chapter 156 - 124: “Level 2 White Wizard” and ” Simulator Update” (Request for Subscription)_2

After enjoying six quiet months, it was time for Milton Cheney to embark on a new mission.

But he was in no hurry. Now that he had become both a Level 2 White Wizard and a Level 2 Bloodline Wizard, first and second level missions posed no significant challenges for him anymore.

All he wished for was not to experience unexpected surprises like last time on the Mudom Plane.

One True Body Simulation had given Milton a clear vision of his future path.

After all, the True Body Simulation, unlike the Text Simulation, allowed him to experience a year’s worth of events. But the Text Simulation condensed one year into a text, making it hard for Milton to know what had actually happened during that year.

The True Body Simulation, however, was a direct experience for Milton.

That experience felt as if he was parting the clouds to glimpse a ray of sunshine.

The next moment, just as Milton was immersed in his thoughts, a figure suddenly appeared beside him.

“Mentor.”

Upon seeing the man, Milton respectfully spoke out.

Since Bernard returned from the Mudom Plane half a year ago, he hadn’t summoned up a surprise visit that often anymore.

Yet he still popped up unexpectedly from time to time.

Seeing Bernard, Milton didn’t react in surprise. He even knew the exact reason his mentor had come.

“Good job, you’re already a Level 2 Wizard. I guess I underestimated your talent for the White Wizard Path, ” Bernard said, a smile on his face.

How much time has passed? It had been less than a year since Milton opted for the path of the White Wizard and he was a Level 2 White Wizard already.

No wonder this kid had aced the Trial of the Guardian Sea.

Such a pace of meditation was quite impressive in the Guardian Sea overall.

Of course, for Bernard, there was nothing exciting about Milton just being a Level 2 Wizard.

“Well, you’re lucky indeed. Turning a 50-page True Word Magic Book into a

perfect foundation is no small feat. A shame, though, that I could only upgrade it to a 100-page version at most,” Bernard muttered.

As he spoke, he tossed the True Word Magic Book to Milton.

Milton caught it. The book was noticeably thicker than before.

The originally thin pages had substantially thickened.

A 100-page True Word Magic Book!

This nearly extinct treasure on the Wizard Continent was just handed to him casually by his mentor.

Upgrading a 50-page True Word Magic Book into a 100-page version was as simple as a piece of cake for his mentor Bernard.

The True Word Magic Book hovered in front of Milton, flipping its pages automatically.

Twenty pages glowed with a faint light.

“I’ve inscribed twenty somewhat interesting Second Ring Magic techniques for you,” Bernard said indifferently, his eyes crinkling in amusement.

Milton looked over at the faintly luminous pages. Each one had a mark resembling a clock in the corner.

“This is… Time Magic?”

Hearing Milton’s somewhat doubtful words, Bernard chuckled affirmatively.

Indeed, it was Time Magic.

While Second Ring Time Magic was not particularly powerful, it was enough for his student Milton at this time.

Milton might have appeared slightly surprised on the outside, but he was unperturbed on the inside.

The reason being that he knew all this already.

He could even name the techniques inscribed on these twenty pages.

“After becoming a Level 2 Spiritual Wizard, the Book of Truth will unlock some new functions for you. You can also visit some interesting places in the Guardian Sea,” Bernard said.

The next moment, before Milton could reply, Bernard vanished where he stood.

“If you’re interested, you can ask my Avatar Puppet,” he added.

Milton stood in place, absorbing the True Word Magic Book back into his Spiritual Sea.

He already knew most of what his mentor Bernard had told him. After all, he had spent a fair amount of time in the Guardian Sea in the True Body Simulation.

The Book of Truth hovered in front of Milton, with Spiritual Power stirring the pages to flip gradually.

Time drifted by, and a day passed in the blink of an eye. The next day arrived.

In front of Milton, a pale blue translucent light screen gradually emerged. Strings of text scrolled on the screen.

“[Wizard’s Life Simulator 3.0 upgrade completed, Wizard’s Life Simulator 4.0 at your service.]”

“[Note 1: New feature (Reincarnation Simulation) is added to Wizard’s Life Simulator 4.0. Each year accumulates one Reincarnation Simulation opportunity, which allows the host’s consciousness to reincarnate in another world.]”

“[Reincarnation Simulation allows the host to inherit memories from the simulation. After the simulation, you can choose to retain your realm and techniques. If the rules are not the same, the Simulator will modify them to suit the path of cultivation of the host. The host will return to reality upon death in the simulation.]”

“[Note 2: Text Simulation requires no charging with Magic stones. The accumulation time for each Simulation Count will change from 1 month to 3 months. Time for accumulation of True Body Simulation changes from 1 year to 2 years.]”

Looking at the black text that had appeared in front of him, Milton felt a bolt of awe.

Major update!

Another new simulation option had been added.

That meant, he now only had five simulations per year.

Four Text Simulations, one Reincarnation Simulation. Simulations had become significantly more precious than before.

As the text disappeared and the light screen faded, clearer memory of the Reincarnation Simulation came flooding back to Milton.

“Is this… a consciousness being cast into a new world to embark on a new life?” Milton opened his eyes, feeling a bit shaken.

Because this kind of simulation was entirely different from previous Text Simulations and True Body Simulations.

Reincarnation Simulation was literally starting a new life in a different world. In other words, a piece of his consciousness was truly reincarnating in a different world. (Don’t worry, I won’t drag the Reincarnation Simulation out over multiple chapters. I’ll try to wrap it in one..)
