I have an Apocalypse City

Chapter 590: 590: Can You Introduce Us?

“Any plant within carries a profound potential for attack. Furthermore, there are plants capable of sowing their seeds within organisms, controlling their bodies as though they were puppets.”

“Hundreds of warriors from the Blackhoof Tribe fell into this trap… we remain unsure whether they are dead or alive.”

“Countless adventurers attempt to explore it every year, but the majority never return…”

The Blackhoof Tribe lives near the Mysterious Garden secret realm and has gathered much information about it. Kane told Song Jian everything, emphasizing above all its terror and danger.

“The horror of the Dark Castle comes from the Shadow Giant Dragon, but the horror of the Mysterious Garden… well, no one can really articulate that,” Kane concluded.

Song Jian nodded knowingly. Both the Mysterious Garden and the Dark Castle were Level 30 dungeons, however the Mysterious Garden is considered less difficult since it didn’t have a BOSS with first-tier combat power.

But after hearing Kane’s introduction, Song Jian realized that the horror of the Mysterious Garden was more concealed, more insidious.

The next day, under Kane’s guidance, Song Jian and Anna went to the valley where the Mysterious Garden is located.

The valley was a barren place, with no plants or even a single weed growing in it. Amid the lush Thunder Beast Mountain, this valley was a stark anomaly.

At the entrance of the valley, Song Jian felt sharp gazes being shot towards him. Probably due to the presence of Kane, these gazes circled around him twice before retracting.

Soon after entering the valley, Song Jian felt another five or six prying eyes on him. These eyes belonged to highly skilled individuals, not quite reaching first-tier combat power, but not far off.

“I had no idea… the Blackhoof Tribe is even more formidable than it appears…” Song Jian thought, utterly astounded the further he ventured.

“If we were to sneak in here at night, we would definitely be spotted…” Song Jian glanced at Anna, silently deducing.

Once they entered the valley, they saw a partially transparent, multicolored screen stretching across the middle of the valley, dividing it in half; below it stood a huge stone door, wreathed by the broken light, adorned with intricate carvings that curled around it like a vine, as if a beast baring its fangs and claws all over the door.

“To enter the Mysterious Garden, you need a key seed, do you guys …” Kane seemed to suddenly recall something and opened his mouth to ask.

Before he could finish his sentence, Anna pulled out a bluish seed the size of a fist from her pocket. The seed’s surface was ragged and radiated a dim blue light.

Anna stepped forward, inserting the blue seed into a softly-planted niche at the bottom of the stone door. Soon, a blue beam of light emerged, tracing the vine pattern etched into the door until it enveloped the entire gateway.

Boom!

The stone door shuddered. A beam of white light spewed out from the gap, giving the appearance of some space-time fluctuations.

As someone familiar with the power of space, Song Jian knew that behind this stone door lay a portal of sorts;

“Let’s go inside.” Anna said to Song Jian, taking the initiative to walk towards the open stone door;

“Each time the stone door is opened, there’s only a minute to enter, and it can only accommodate up to five people at once,” Kane reminded from the side.

In fact, it is quite difficult for the player to open the ‘Mysterious Garden’ dungeon. Firstly, they need to enhance their familiarity with the Blackhoof Tribe, spending at least half a month to generate enough reputation to be respected by them, only then can they have the privilege to enter this valley.

An alternative method would be to force their way in, however this requires annihilating the entire Blackhoof Tribe, which if a player possesses such power, this dungeon wouldn’t pose any significant assistance to them.

Once the reputation of the Blackhoof Tribe is elevated enough to be respected, the player will need a key seed. The acquisition of this seed is relatively easier – the creatures within Thunder Beast Mountain may occasionally drop the seed. If you are lucky, you can get one from killing two or three beasts, if unlucky, several days may pass by without obtaining a single one.

Each key seed allows a small team of five to enter, and if they fail to navigate the dungeon, they must kill more monsters on Thunder Beast Mountain to obtain another.

After Song Jian and Anna vanished from the spot, Kane just stood there watching the stone door close gently, not choosing to leave immediately. It seemed like he was waiting for something.

A bar in the City of Sin

Ye Tong pushed the door open with a sour face. The bar door hit the wall with a loud bang and bounced back fiercely;

“A glass of Hot Red Lips, no water, no ice!” Ye Tong walked up to the bar counter and slapped her hand forcefully on the hard surface as she shouted.

“Oh, isn’t this the darling of the night, Ye Tong? Why are you so upset today? Do you need me to help you vent some steam? Ha-ha-ha,” a scornful laughter rang out in the bar.

Ye Tong turned her head to see a middle-aged man with a scar on his face wearing leather armor, holding a large glass of beer and staring intently at her.

“Ghost Face, you dare to mock me? Do you really think I can’t poison you into impotence?” Ye Tong threatened viciously.

Ha ha ha ha~

Ye Tong’s menacing threat ignited an uproarious laughter throughout the bar;

“Ye Tong, there’s really no need to be so angry even if your mission failed!” A burly bartender handed a large glass of blood-red cocktail to Ye Tong.

“Damn it, success was already within my grasp! If it weren’t for that meddling man, there’s no way I would have failed!” Ye Tong gulped down the alcohol in one go, releasing a big breath afterward, a hint of abnormal red flushing her cheeks.

“So, someone edged you out? Someone capable of doing so must be quite skilled!” The bartender wore a look of admiration.

“His strength attribute is extremely high and he completely overwhelmed me!” Ye Tong grumbled.

“What’s so amazing about that? Even in this bar, there are at least a dozen people with strength attributes high enough to crush you!” The bartender flexed his arm and his muscles bulged, giving him an iron-like appearance;

“His perception attribute is not low either, making ambush impossible….” Ye Tong carried a terrible, menacing look on her face and the glass in her hand squeaked under pressure;

“So what? Many classes give perception bonuses, as far as I know, some even specialize in hunting monsters in the city sewers to level up….” The bartender seemed unimpressed.

Ye Tong: “…”

“He also recruited a young, beautiful female Follower!” Ye Tong suddenly added.

The bartender’s eyes lit up, a look of amazement appearing on his face: “This brother must be incredible! If there’s a chance, could you introduce us?”
