Hong Huang: I Kept Offering Poisonous Plans! Hou Tu Urged Me to Calm Down

Chapter 6 - Destiny Is On the Side of the Demons? Hongjun's Face Changed!

One after another, various races declared themselves members of the Yao race and joined the Heavenly Court, fueling its prosperity. Even the former Three races – the Dragon Palaces of the Four Seas, the Volcanoes of the South, and the Hidden Domains – cast complex glances toward the Heavenly Court that illuminated the whole world.

Emperor Jun and Donghuang Taiyi, who had established the Heavenly Court, received a constant flow of merit that greatly enhanced their cultivation. Before Hongjun, the Dao Ancestor, could even deliver his second sermon, teaching the Dao of Quasi-Saints, they began involuntarily advancing toward the Quasi-Saint realm.

Emperor Jun and Donghuang Taiyi were overjoyed.

“Excellent, excellent, excellent!”

“Destiny is on our side!” Emperor Jun declared with passion.

He had anticipated great benefits from establishing the Heavenly Court for the Yao race, but he hadn’t expected them to be this substantial. The Heavenly Dao endorsed them, and merit rained down. Although many of the powerful members of the Yao race Heavenly Court gained something, the two of them received the lion’s share.

“Perhaps, this time, we will reach the level of Quasi-Saint!”

“If we become Quasi-Saints, we will certainly be able to expand our Yao race Heavenly Court even further. By then, even that arrogant Wu race will have no choice but to submit to our Yao race!” Emperor Jun thought with satisfaction as he swiftly refined his accumulated merit.

While refining, he couldn’t resist glancing toward Mount Buzhou, eager to see his old rival’s reaction. Though he also remained cautious, in case they tried to disrupt his plans. The Yao race may appear to be thriving, but their foundation could not yet compare to that of the Wu race after all. However, once he established the Heavenly Court and recruited a few more deities of great power, the situation would change entirely.

Emperor Jun calculated his moves. His gaze pierced through the heavens and he noted the lack of response from the Wu race on the ground below. He had barely begun to question this when, suddenly, above them, the will of the Heavenly Dao, which had been showering them with merit, began to tremble.

A feeling of immense joy and jubilation erupted across the hearts of all beings within the Primordial Realm. In that instant, countless great powers were stunned and couldn’t help but question.

“How is this possible? Could it be that the Heavenly Dao is elated once again? Is establishing the Yao race’s Heavenly Court truly this crucial?” Zhen Yuanzi exchanged a surprised glance with his friend Hongyun.

“The Yao race? Could destiny be favoring the demons?” Within a hidden realm on Mount Buzhou, Fuxi tried to calculate the secrets of the heavens, yet found himself unable to see the key.

“A bunch of creatures born of damp places and eggs, and they receive such fortune!” In Sanqing Hall on Mount Kunlun, the Primordial Lord furrowed his brow.

“What a pity to have been surpassed by the Yao race!” In the sea of blood, a massive bloody shadow rose, gazing enviously at the heavens. “When Emperor Jun approached me before, I should have agreed! What a loss! I thought their foundation was far inferior to the Wu race’s, a sinking ship, but now, ah!”

A Kunpeng on the North Sea slapped his thigh in frustration.

Emperor Jun and the others, who had previously been puzzled, were now ecstatic.

It was no wonder that the faces of many great powers changed drastically. The joy of the Heavenly Dao descending once more was indeed extraordinary. For a single event to merit two rewards was unheard of! The Heavenly Dao operated by rules, following natural order. This consecutive movement meant either that something was wrong with the Heavenly Dao or that the Yao race’s Heavenly Court had truly garnered exceptional attention from it.

Boom!

Another sound came under the concerned gazes of countless great powers.

In the void, a vast, Ancient Dao sound echoed, carrying an icy majesty. An unseen change was sweeping across the Primordial Realm as the world shifted, and the Dao transformed. Many tried to discern the meaning within the Dao sound and only caught fragmented words:

“Immortal Dao… tribulation… disasters… thunder…”

Before they could understand more, a vast fog of the Heavenly Dao shrouded everything, obscuring all knowledge and sealing it within the deepest parts of the world. Even those with great powers could no longer glimpse a trace.

This shift startled even the shadowy figure within the chaotic Zixiao Palace, who was undergoing his integration with the Dao.

Hongjun sensed the tremendous change within the Heavenly Dao, quickly calculated, and his expression shifted dramatically.

“How could the Tribulation Dao appear at this time?”

Yet when he attempted to probe further, a dense fog from the Heavenly Dao veiled everything and blocked his gaze. Only by fully merging with the Dao could he pierce through its mysteries. The changes brought by the Tribulation Dao were immense, throwing off Hongjun’s original plans. Most importantly, this would undoubtedly hinder the progress and spread of the Immortal Dao.

Though beneficial for the world, it was disadvantageous for Hongjun, who had unified and established the Immortal Dao as its Dao Ancestor. It was only by using the Immortal Dao to supplement the Heavenly Dao that he had obtained the opportunity to merge with it. If he had already merged, this would not matter, but he had yet to complete the integration! Any delay in the spread of the Immortal Dao would slow down his own progress. A delay here could lead to endless future disruptions, possibly creating major variables.

However, before Hongjun could think of a solution, a further crisis unfolded. The will of the Heavenly Dao transmitted a message which prompted Hongjun to rise abruptly.

“Not good!”

Yet soon, he sat back down.

“It’s too late!”

Hongjun’s expression turned ugly.

Meanwhile, in the Primordial Realm, under the watchful eyes of countless great powers, the Heavenly Dao descended with a dual aura of green and purple, along with a trace of merit, condensing into six massive objects that seemed like both Dao fruits and symbols of authority, falling toward the Heavenly Court.

The six Dao fruits emanated a majesty infused with the immense might of the heavens. Just gazing upon them gave even the Da Luo Golden Immortals goosebumps. In that moment, as goosebumps prickled across their skin, the fog of the Heavenly Dao completely dissipated, revealing hidden information to the entire world.

“The Heavenly Tribulation Dao! From this day onward, tribulation will exist in the Primordial Realm. Any being who wishes to become an immortal will face three disasters and nine hardships.”

“The Three Disasters: Wind, Fire, and Water. The Nine Hardships: hunger, thirst, the need for clothing, and all the constraints of mortality, forming the Five Declines of the Celestial Being! Only by overcoming these can one attain immortality and pursue the Immortal Dao! Even after achieving immortality, each stage brings a tribulation: heaven’s thunder, invading water and fire, and the roar of wind and lightning! Only those who attain the Da Luo Golden Immortal status can be exempt from tribulations. And these six Dao fruits are the manifestation of these calamities’ authority. Refining even one of them would elevate an individual to the peak of the Taiyi Golden Immortal level without the need for cultivation. Refining all six would grant the Da Luo Golden Immortal Dao fruit, thus allowing one to become a Da Luo Golden Immortal in one step!”

The announcement silenced the entire Primordial Realm.

Emperor Jun and his companions, who had been jubilant moments before, froze. Those who had been envious, dissatisfied, or regretful over the establishment of the Heavenly Court fell into silence.

Was the Dao fruit of Da Luo Golden Immortal valuable? Yes!

Even in the Primordial Realm, Da Luo Golden Immortals were supreme beings, as the path of Quasi-Saints had yet to be widely taught. The few Quasi-Saints present had achieved that level through exceptional circumstances. In other words, possessing these six Dao fruits would place one at the pinnacle of the Primordial Realm.

However, the price of fate’s gifts had long been evident, if not blatant.

“Whoever wields the Dao fruits of Heavenly Tribulation must bring tribulations to all beings in the Primordial Realm!”

“The karma is too immense!”

“This would make one the enemy of every living being in the Primordial Realm!”

Fuxi, who had previously thought that destiny favored the Yao race, withdrew his words. Kunpeng, who had been about to rise, paused in place.
