God Ash: Remnants of the fallen.

Chapter 470: Assult of the Sea Beast Horde (2).

Right now, Urbus was at least three times bigger that it had been before the inception of the god ash. The East Persian Sea had now become a large ocean.

The inky black silence was disturbed once again. However, this disturbance was unlike previous ones. It was no wave, and it was definitely not a ripple...

The Western Island was now completely surrounded by a wall that had been created with magical means. This wall was exceptionally tall and was covered in numerous visible runes that would increase its defensive capabilities.

Standing on the wall was a group of humans dressed in white garbs. A girl who\'s clothes looked too big for her with a pair of glasses handing on the bridge of her nose turned to a young handsome man.

"Lukas... Let\'s just run away." She pleaded desperately.

Lukas sighed and said, "Come on now, Suki. We cannot leave our posts behind. This is more important that preserving our lives..."

Although he didn\'t agree with his own words, Lukas\' acting was good enough to fool them.

The Minor Light God, Yagani... A Celestial being who\'s power transcended their current reality. A God in every sense of the word...

However, Lukas didn\'t see the Celestial that way. Instead, he acknowledged that he had made a deal with the Devil, trading his soul away for power.

The power granted by a Celestial\'s remnants, especially one as powerful as the Minor Light God, could only be described as unimaginable. These powers were called blessings.

Currently, everyone that had a fragment of this Light God\'s power would possess a blessing. This blessing made it so that they would possess more potential and power than someone wutho6a blessing. However, this power came at a cost...

\'Divinity... Why the hell do they need it so badly?\'

Lukas knew his goals were too loftly. Although he had been granted incredible powers, he wasn\'t satisfied. This much wasn\'t enough if he was planning to kill a god.

He needed more...

Enough to raze the world to cinders and ash...

He took a breath to steady his mind. All that was in the far future. For now, he had to handle their current dillema.

"How long till the beast horde arrives?" Lukas turned to Luke.

Standing beside Luke was Reginald and Winifred. Both of them had hostile glares as they stared at those around them. However, their posture was not threatening in the slightest. Right now, they were surrounded by people they dared not fight. For no other reason than fighting them might end up with them losing their lives.

Even Luke felt apprehensive when facing Lukas and his insane fanatics...

They called themselves the Lightslayers. Apostles of the God of Light, Yagani...

Luke spoke after a moment of silence, "Roughly a day, give or take."

Lukas fell into silent contemplation...

Zue adjusted his spectacles and turned to the girl with the droopy clothes,

"Suki... How do you think the wall is going to hold?"

Suki sighed, "Earth magic is defensive in nature. Pulling it down with physical might alone is not going to be easy. Plus, there are enchantments all over the place. Still..."

She hesitated a bit, "We don\'t know the nature of all the beast\'s that might be attacking. For all we know, some of them might be mysterious depth dwellers with incredibly harrowing powers. Fighting them might be the end of us!"

Zue snorted, "What is there to fear? So long as we are on this Island, we do not fear death. We can fight forever."

Indeed...the greatest advantage the Lightslayers possessed, was that they could not be killed so long as they remained on the island, thanks to the blessing of the Light God.

Lukas wore a slight smile. He was not worried at all. In fact, he was a bit excited. Since advancing to Tier 1, there had been nothing challenging. With the arrival of the beast horde, there would be finally something for him to sharpen his blade against.

Lukas glanced behind him. Standings there was an impecable beauty. His sister, Chloe. Although she was beautiful, she currently sorted a cold, distant expression.

Lukas sighed in his heart. If there was one thing he didn\'t want, that would be to involve her in this mess. But there was nothing he do now. As such, he had to react according to the situation.

\'She will definitely understand someday...\'

Lukas cleared his throat, "Stone, Marq, Anthony... Gather the others."

Marq, the girl Luke had faced the day they arrived nodded at Lukas before flashing Luke a strange expression. Luke paled immediately as he felt a cold sweat building up on his forehead.

"Lukas. What are we going to do about the Blood God\'s people?" The huge man named Stone asked in a deep voice.

Lukas chuckled, "Isn\'t it obvious? They are going to use this as an opportunity to try attacking us."

Marq sighed, "That Guy is truly an idiot, isn\'t he... He\'s clearly unlike Luke over here~"

Luke felt an icy coldness drape over him as he felt Marq\'s passionate gaze. However, he knew he couldn\'t meet it no matter what.

Lukas wanted to slap her, \'Can\'t you make it less obvious?\' He thought what everyone had on their minds.

"If they come, we will be prepared. We\'ll destroy the Beast horde, and destroy them as well. Once we do that, we will take the Central Island as well." Lukas said, ambition flowing off of him like waves.

Zue had a wide grin on his face, "Indeed. No one can compare to us. We will be the true rulers of this world!"

"Hehe... So cringe..." Marq said as she stuck out her tongue. Them she quickly moved towards Luke. Staring at him, her eyes narrowed seductively,

"What do you think, Luke?"

Luke\'s face was the definition of impassive,

"I think you all are insane."

Marq\'s eyes narrowed even more as her smile stretched out, making her look even more sinister,

"I see... Then, Mr Luke. Do you have a think for insane girls?" With how close she was, Luke could feel her heavy breath on his face. Still, he forced himself not to react by pushing her away.

Seeing this, Lukas couldn\'t help but chuckle,

"Marq. That\'s enough. Leave him alone for now..."

Marq clicked her tongue. Leaving the way, she, Stone, and the expressionless Anthony quickly jumped down the wall to go attend to urgent matters.

Luke\'s brows were furrowed, "What makes you so certain you can withstand this beast horde?"

Lukas grinned, "Because I\'m confident in my strength. Are you?"

Luke seemed taken aback by the question. Gripping the hilt of his sword, he sneered,

"Of course I am..."

The only reason he was apprehensive of Lukas, was te island\'s ability to keep them alive even if they suffered life ending wounds. On this island, the Lightslayers were practically immortal. Nothing could kill them...

Lukas nodded, "In that case, you should also go prepare. This might be your chance to claim Guy\'s head."

Luke\'s eyes hardened upon hearing that. He nodded, then left with his men.

"Do you trust him, Lukas?" Zue said once Luke was gone.

Lukas shook his head with a smile, "Of course not. He\'s probably planning to stab me in the back the moment I look away for a moment."

Zue\'s eyes darkened, "Do we kill him now?"

Lukas shook his head, "He\'s still useful. Let\'s have him live a few more days."

The moment Cain landed on the Central Island, he got right back to work. Sometimes, one could have plans, but the universe would be against them.

Cain already had a theory in mind. If the Beast horde was truly going to attack the Western Island and its Lightslayers, then there was no reason why the Blood God Followers would stay put. They would most likely use it as an opportunity to launch an offensive given their violent streak...

Cain\'s eyes glowed with an eerie light. If this was the case, then he could use one stone to kill two birds.

While the Lightslayers and Blood Followers were killing each other and thinning out the Beast horde, he and his own people would swoop in and wipe them all out.

\'It is possible. However, I don\'t know the extent of their capabilities, how many Tier 1\'s they have. We still need to be cautious.\'

Although he had to make adjustments to the previous plan, that didn\'t mean they were negative...

He settled into the {Draconic Blast Furnace} and began work. He had retrieved a large supply of metal ores and gems from Pudding, so now was the time to get to work producing armor and weapons the coming fight was sure to be bloody.

If they wanted to come out on top, having superior equipment would make a very big difference...

However, before any of that, Cain took a deep breath and summoned the {Gate of Stars} from his inventory...
