I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 465: Incense

Chapter 465: Incense

With a champion-level Dragonite at the YoYo Day Care, he had little to fear.

However, at times like these, Yuga couldn\'t help but feel a pang of regret. When he was at the summit of Mount Tensei, Ho-Oh had scattered countless Sacred Ashes, which had the same effect as Max Revives. He deeply regretted not using a pouch to collect those Sacred Ashes. If he had, he would be wealthy now.

Under Yuga\'s meticulous care and the help of Grass-type Pokémon, the Revival Herbs grew exceptionally well. Moreover, when Yuga returned, he planted a Revival Herbs seed he received from Bell Tower. Although it had just sprouted, it appeared even more vibrant than the first Revival Herbs.

During this time, some of the herbs Yuga had planted matured and were processed into dried medicinal herbs, stored carefully in the warehouse. However, Yuga had only harvested a portion of them; the rest were left for seed production.

Special herbs like White Herbs, Power Herb, and Mental Herb only required the mature leaves to be harvested, unlike Energy Herbs where the entire plant needed to be collected.

Yuga had been pondering the use of these herbs. He shared his concerns with his mentor, and not long after, received a book sent by Ryuichi.

After reading the book, Yuga was ecstatic. While it was more like a booklet due to its thinness, it was exquisitely bound, and its content was truly invaluable.

The book contained methods for crafting nine types of incense: Wave Incense, Lax Incense, Odd Incense, Rock Incense, Full Incense, Sea Incense, Rose Incense, Luck Incense, and Pure Incense.

These incenses were special items used for nurturing Pokémon, each with its unique effect.

For instance, Rose Incense, when lit, emitted a peculiar fragrance. Prolonged exposure to this scent accelerated the energy accumulation of Grass-type Pokémon.

Similar to Rose Incense were Wave Incense, Sea Incense, Odd Incense, and Rock Incense.

Wave Incense and Sea Incense affected Water-type Pokémon, with Sea Incense being more effective for freshwater types and Wave Incense for saltwater ones.

Odd Incense enhanced the meditation efficiency of Psychic-type Pokémon, aiding them in quickly entering deep meditation.

Rock Incense expedited the energy accumulation of Rock-type Pokémon.

Then there was Luck Incense. When ignited during training, bathing Pokémon in its aroma, it could unlock their potential and improve their training efficiency.

Lax Incense was designed to help Pokémon calm their minds, serving as a soothing remedy for many irritable Pokémon. Numerous Pokémon, such as the Hydreigon, Ursaring, and Salamence, had volatile temperaments that often made life difficult for their trainers. However, with the aid of Lax Incense, these issues could be readily resolved.

This type of incense doesn\'t just affect Pokémon; its effects on humans are also quite remarkable, and it has gained widespread use in the field of medicine.

Pure Incense is an incense used to repel wild Pokémon, especially Ghost-type Pokémon. It is commonly employed by adventurous trainers during outdoor expeditions.

When camping at night and sleeping, lighting a Pure Incense greatly increases trainers\' safety.

The last type, Full Incense, has a rather unique effect. It\'s a kind of Illusion-type incense that makes the actions of any Pokémon that smells it slower and their reactions duller. It is often used by trainers to train their Pokémon\'s reaction speed.

Each type of incense has a specific and valuable function that aids trainers in their Pokémon training. Although the effects may not be very noticeable after a single use, over time, they significantly improve a trainer\'s overall efficiency compared to others.

Incense on the market is quite expensive. If Pokéblocks are essential resources for trainers, incense can be considered a luxury item.

Among these nine types of incense, Pure Incense is the cheapest and the most efficient for regular trainers to use.

Wilderness exploration and travel will always be essential themes for trainers. Pure Incense is a vital means for them to stay safe in dangerous forests and mountains.

The other types of incense are genuine luxury items. Using incense is not a one or two-day affair; it requires long-term usage. Most regular trainers can\'t afford them due to their high costs.

Those who use incense for extended periods usually come from wealthy families.

Moreover, there are few stores selling incense on the market. The production methods for these items are closely guarded secrets, known to only a select few. Additionally, they can only be handmade, which contributes to their high prices.

When it comes to making money, the speed at which incense generates income far surpasses that of Pokéblocks.

Yuga had never expected that his mentor would possess such precious collections and would generously gift them to him.

Why was Yuga ecstatic?

Well, the main ingredient for making incense is various flowers, some rare and some common. It even requires many special flowers with additional attribute energies. However, with Yuga\'s Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark, he had no shortage of all sorts of flowers. If he wanted them, he could find them.

Furthermore, the flowers used to make incense must be fresh, which is one of the challenges in incense production.

Normally, different flowers come from different places, sometimes even different seasons. To have them all blooming simultaneously, you need a greenhouse that can accommodate various types of flowers. The construction cost of such a greenhouse is not low.

But Yuga\'s conditions were exceptional, making it a cause for his ecstasy. He had every reason to be thrilled.

As for the auxiliary materials for incense-making, they mainly consist of various herbs. Given the current scale of herb cultivation in Yuga\'s Ecopark, it wasn\'t enough to produce sufficient incense. He needed to expand the herb cultivation scale.
