I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 170: Arrangement of New Store Employees

Chapter 170: Arrangement of New Store Employees

Upon checking the online response to "Vitality" and "Enigma," Yuga headed to the newly purchased house across the street. Today marked the official day of house renovation.

Yuga arrived and communicated his renovation intentions to the head of the renovation company. The newly bought house was much larger than his original one. As a shop selling Pokémon eggs, the first floor was more than sufficient. Yuga cleared out the second floor and requested the renovation company to arrange it like a standard employee dormitory.

Since Yuga had decided to hire a dedicated breeder, he needed to prepare accommodations for them. Even though he was initially hiring one, the future might require more. Thus, he prepared a few extra rooms.

He also asked the renovation company to convert the original kitchen and dining room on the first floor into a studio. This space would be exclusively used to craft Pokéblocks. After all, he couldn\'t casually bring them into the Ecopark.

As for the dining arrangements for the new store employees, Yuga decided they would eat at the restaurant of the old store. It would be convenient and not too crowded, and having dinner together with Audino also made things easier.

Currently, Yuga planned to hire two new store employees – one as a front desk salesperson, similar to Sister Koen, and the other as the planned breeder.

The breeder couldn\'t strictly be classified as a new store employee since their primary role was to assist the old store. However, since the old store lacked a place for them to stay, they ended up becoming an employee of the new store. After all, that\'s where their work would be carried out.

With the addition of the breeder, Yuga and Audino would likely have an easier time. The task of producing Pokéblocks would largely shift to the breeder. After all, their main responsibility at YoYo Day Care would be crafting Pokéblocks.

Having explained his requirements to the head of the renovation company, Yuga returned to the old store. In the Pokémon world, many tasks were aided by magical creatures like Pokémon. Coupled with advanced technology, house renovations were generally faster than in Yuga\'s previous life.

Upon returning to the old store and heading upstairs, Yuga found Windy engrossed in the internet. He instructed Windy to post a job advertisement on the website, seeking a sales breeder. The advertisement specified that experience, gender, and age were not limitations, but honesty and dedication were crucial.

Yuga\'s decision not to specify work experience primarily stemmed from the fact that YoYo Day Care only needed one task from the breeder – crafting Pokéblocks. This was the fundamental skill of a breeder; not being proficient in it would make it hard to call oneself a breeder.

For the new store\'s sales staff, Yuga intended to hire locally within Verdanturf Town. After all, for professions like sales, few were willing to leave their hometown for work, especially when the workplace was an inconspicuous small Day Care.

After printing out the job advertisement, Yuga posted it on the old store\'s door. He then informed Sister Koen, "Sister Koen, I\'m planning to hire a salesperson for the new store. The job advertisement is up on the door. Could you keep an eye out for anyone who comes for an interview?"

Sister Koen was busy arranging Pokéblocks to be sent out when she heard Yuga\'s words. She looked up and replied, "Sure, I got it."

Seeing her occupied with the Pokéblocks, Yuga asked, "How are the sales of the newly released \'Vitality\' and \'Enigma\'?"

Sister Koen happily reported, "The sales are quite substantial. They\'re no worse than the Heavies Pokéblocks. According to Windy, the trainers who bought them are giving excellent feedback online and are recommending our Pokéblocks to their friends and family."

With the introduction of the two new types of Pokéblocks, YoYo Day Care\'s reputation continued to grow. Many trainers had now noticed this small, inconspicuous shop that used to be overshadowed by numerous other Day Cares.

What Yuga didn\'t expect was that he posted the job advertisement in the morning, and there were already people coming for interviews in the afternoon.

When Sister Koen came to inform Yuga that someone was here for an interview, he was watching an online tutorial by a renowned breeder in his room, which cost him quite a bit of money.

Yuga had been studying to become a breeder for some time now. He occasionally assisted Audino and the Miltanks in taking care of the Pokémon in the Ecopark, practicing his skills. However, he wasn\'t sure of his actual proficiency level.

Professional breeders needed to undergo breeder assessments to secure a job. Only with the recognition of the Breeder Association could others hire them with confidence.

Descending from upstairs, Yuga spotted a boy sitting in the center of the store, and he looked somewhat familiar.

Walking over, Yuga greeted with a warm smile, "Hello."

Seeing Yuga, the boy awkwardly stood up and stuttered, "Y-you, hello."

Seeing him like this, Yuga thought, "This won\'t do. As a salesperson, even if you can\'t be as skilled and experienced as Sister Koen, you can\'t stutter while talking."

Windy was also someone who got easily shy, but he was the kind of person whose shyness never showed on his face, unlike the boy before him who was truly an "open book."

"Start by introducing yourself. I\'m the owner of this Day Care, named Shimizu Yūga. You can just call me \'boss.\'"

Although Yuga felt that the boy before him might not be suitable for the job, he still decided to go through the normal process. It wouldn\'t be fair to skip it entirely.

Furthermore, Yuga thought to himself that perhaps the boy could impress him and make him want to keep him around. Judging someone solely based on a first impression wouldn\'t be fair either.

"I, I know you. My name is Arata Sena."

Despite Yuga\'s attempt to keep the conversation light, Arata Sena still appeared very nervous.

Yuga didn\'t find it strange that Arata Sena knew him. Since they were both from Verdanturf Town, it was only normal for Arata Sena to be acquainted with him, a local figure.

Yuga took a seat and motioned for Arata Sena to sit as well. Then, he casually asked, "How old are you?"

Arata Sena, who had retaken his seat, replied, "I\'m 16."

Yuga nodded. Sixteen years old, a year younger than himself, and just reaching the legal adult age set by the League, as well as the age at which one could start working.
