The Unique Guardian Beast Master in Cultivation World

Chapter 37 - 37: Revenge is a dish best served immediately

It must be done this way, right?

Bear a moment, find peace; step back, gain a broader view.

Through the use of the “Sending God Skill”, Feng Qing’an had placed himself in the perspective of Black Mountain and had thus experienced firsthand how terrifying the tiger was.

When slaughtering the ordinary mountain wolves, an encounter with the beast meant death, a brush with it resulted in severe injuries. Even Black Mountain, who had already become a demon beast, was swatted aside in an instant upon contact, without any chance of resistance.

Black Mountain, being a demon beast, was overpowered; Feng Qing’an, who had only received a portion of Black Mountain’s powers, conseqently stood no chance against the tiger.

Feng Qing’an crouched down silently, placing his palm on Black Mountain’s blood-soaked belly. A soft spiritual glow appeared on his hand, and in his vision, abundant Spiritual Qi roared, flowing under his guidance into Black Mountain’s body.

“Howl-”

Under the nourishment of the Qi, Black Mountain’s wheezing breath became stronger, and the wolf-dog, who had fainted due to the pain from running all the way home, gradually came to. Drops of fluids, either blood or tears, trickled down from its eyes.

“Sleep well! Once the sun rises tomorrow, all of this will be over.”

Feng Qing’an felt Black Mountain’s desperate and resentful emotions, and could only attempt to soothe it in this way.

“Whine-

Black Mountain’s head was pressed against the ground, giving off a low whimper, sounding like a hound’s mournful cry.

Hearing Black Mountain’s cry, Feng Qing’an felt distressed, yet he did not stop it.

He knew how much pain Black Mountain was suffering at the moment. He withdrew his palm from Black Mountain, understanding that its body had reached its limit in Qi absorption. Any more may cause harm instead of good.

Feng Qing’an stood up, looking up at the moon and the stars, swallowing his humiliation and anger.

“A man’s actions should always be preceded by considerations. When faced with adversity, one should be patient and wait for the right moment!”

“For a gentleman, ten years isn’t too long for revenge.”

Whether in potential or combat power, Black Mountain trailed behind the tiger in every respect.

However, this was only temporary. Black Mountain was only half a year old. As long as he patiently helped Black Mountain to improve its potential and train its combat power, the day would undoubtedly come when Black Mountain could tear that tiger apart.

Comforting himself thus, Feng Qing’an went back into his room. Black

Mountain’s life energy had already stabilized. He didn’t wish to see Black Mountain in such a desolate state any longer; it made him distressed and worried.

The Tiger Demon that had abruptly attacked from the deep mountains was an extremely severe blow to both Feng Qing’an and Black Mountain.

All the hard work and accomplishments of the past month had been destroyed under its savage brutality. Feng Qing’an didn’t even understand why the Tiger Demon had suddenly attacked Black Mountain.

However, between demon beasts, no explanations were necessary. They abided by the law of the survival of the fittest. Why should they delve deeper? People don’t discuss why they slaughter livestock either; they simply do it because they produce something people want to consume.

Feng Qing’an returned to his room and lay on his bed. He tossed and turned with closed eyes, but sleep refused to come.

Patient endurance only seemed to increase his anger, withdrawal only highlighted his loss.

Feng Qing’an suddenly sat up, having rolled over in his blanket and unable to sleep still. He was considering finding something to distract himself or starting his training when his gaze sharply focused.

In the room lit only by moonlight streaming in from the outside, slender threads of luminous glow were faintly flickering. They originated from where he had placed his bookshelf. The texts on the bookshelf were transcripts of the Sage classics penned down by his elder brother.

Feng Qing’an rubbed his eyes, and in the darkness, the luminous glow continued to flicker. His breath became heavy. This time, he hadn’t used the “Sending God Skill”. He had observed it with his own eyes.

All – encompassing righteousness!

Although the glow was not as splendid or vast as the all-encompassing righteousness seen in Black Mountain’s eyes, it signified that Feng Qing’an could now observe things that were previously invisible to his mortal eyes.

However, this was not the most important thing. With slight pondering, he could understand the origin of this change – it was most likely due to his consistent practice of the “Soul cultivation method” which he had switched to a month ago.

What was an extraordinarily joyous event on ordinary days was trivial tonight as he had more pressing matters to attend to.

Feng Qing’an’s gaze scanned his room, quickly locating the book bag, brimming with the books he used at the academy, thrown on the desk.

However, these books containing the wisdom of the Sages didn’t display any anomaly in his eyes, especially not in comparison to the “collected books” arranged on his bookshelf, which were beaming with the limitless luminous glow.

So, Feng Qing’an opened his book bag and dumped out all the books inside.

Subsequently, he looked outside his room, and considering not to disturb his parents’ sleep, Feng Qing’an directly shouted to Black Mountain through the Soul Contract.

“If you want revenge, hurry here. I’ll equip you with six-shen outfit. If we aren’t able to kill that beast tonight, I’ll spell my name backwards!”

Black Mountain, who was lying in the yard with dull eyes, mourning, suddenly sprang up.

Although it didn’t understand how its master could help it overwhelm the tiger, due to an instinctual trust, Black Mountain chose to believe. Hence it rushed into the room like a gust of wind.

However, upon entering the room, Black Mountain saw Feng Qing’an holding the book bag in one hand, with a triumphant smile on his face, stuffing the books that had been giving off endless luminous glow on the bookshelf into the bag with the other.

Despite its current sadness, Black Mountain was still astonished by Feng Qing’an’s actions.

‘What are you staring at? Come here now!”

Seeing Black Mountain enter the room, Feng Qing’an, holding his bulging bag, looked at its size and gave up the plan to stuff an eighth book inside.

Black Mountain made a confused sound. It did not understand the potency of the golden stream of light that was seemingly everywhere to it and hadn’t affected it in any way before.

“Stay still, I will pack for you!”

Feng Qing’an, admitting no objections, grabbed Black Mountain, whose size had already surpassed his own, and threaded its claws through the bag’s straps.

The bag was custom-made by Yin Shi for Feng Qing’an. Although she’d made it relatively big to accommodate his growing body size, it was still tight, uncomfortable, and looked somewhat funny on Black Mountain.

But there was also a benefit; there was no risk of it slipping off, even during a mad rush, as long as the straps were sturdy enough.

“Go, take the tiger to task for our blood debt!”

Slapping the still-wounded Black Mountain, Feng Qing’an’s face lighted up with a rather ferocious and ruthless smile.

“Who cares about being a gentleman, waiting for an absurd ten years for revenge.. A smaller man seeks revenge from morning till night, I prefer being the smaller man, revenge should not wait overnight!”
