Super Spender

Chapter 493: 487: Move like Thunder

“They were international mercenaries.” Jack Lewis furrowed his brows as he read the report.

Finding a secluded corner, Finn quickly transformed with Standby One. As long as Finn played his part well, no one would be able to tell the difference between him and his decoy. So, Finn wasn’t worried. There were many things he wanted to do. If someone dared lay a hand on his family, they had to be prepared to face the consequences.

Finn was no saint and he wouldn’t turn a blind eye. There were no lines he wouldn’t cross. Standby One returned home while Finn quickly walked in a secluded direction to leave the town. Coincidentally, his private plane had just taken off from Celeston City. Earlier, Finn had used the plane to transport some things, and now the timing was perfect.

Moving swiftly and helped by the mini drone released by Olivia and the built-in radar of the Little Wildcat Protective Suit, Finn managed to dodge everyone’s sight and arrived in a deserted field. Even in the summer, the town was sparsely populated, let alone in winter. Most people were indoors playing Mahjong, and the vegetation was scarce in the northern winters dominated by wastelands.

Consequently, Finn needed to move far enough from the town so that his flight wouldn’t be spotted. He also had to watch out for shepherds in the wilderness. It was after about twenty minutes that he found a suitable spot. A quick check confirmed he was hundreds of yards from anyone, then Finn activated the optical invisibility system on his Little Wildcat Protective Suit, followed by the anti-gravity device and began to rise rapidly. It didn’t take long to reach an altitude of 3000 meters, but at this height and in broad daylight, anyone looking up could still see the Thunderhawk.

Hopefully, no one would look up. The Thunderhawk moved fast and without radar detection, if seen by anyone, wouldn’t appear to be anything unusual. As Finn ascended to that height, the Thunderhawk flew by him. After mounting the Thunderhawk, Finn immediately took control and began to increase his altitude rapidly.

“Have they been located?” Finn spoke in a serious tone as soon as he was airborne.

“They have been located.”

“Good. I’m going to obliterate them!”

Declaring his intentions, Finn soared into the sky like a glider, and quickly wiped out those men, a horrific sight…

Shock, universal shock.

Don’t mind, you can’t resist this.

Back in Flame Nation, the couple discussed matters, naturally, bringing up Sarah Wood.

Kay Lee didn’t divulge this matter. She had a hard time accepting that her best friend, Sarah, was a secret agent and an elite one at that. What was more troubling was the fact that she got close to Finn under the pretext of being with her. Even upon returning to Celeston City, Kay remained upset.

Although Sarah, the ‘third wheel’, was gone, but Finn felt helpless. At least when Sarah was around, Kay was in a better mood. Now she was so distraught, and Finn didn’t know how to console her.

“… Kay, don’t be upset. She came to investigate me, but it was part of her mission. She certainly wouldn’t have wanted it this way. ” Finn tried to comfort her.

“But she manipulated our relationship.” Kay murmured, her voice full of grievance.

“Come on, you knew she cared for you as a friend. But as a spy, her life is often not in her control. Look at me, I’m not mad. Don’t be. When she left, she seemed relieved. It must have been a burden on her to continue this mission.” Finn gently touched Kay’s hair and spoke with a smile.

“But it still bothers me.” Kay was still gloomy.

“How about this, we’ll go to Proudshire. Remember I told you about a secret?” Finn thought for a moment and then spoke with a smile.

“Sure.” Kay’s curiosity was piqued. She asked, “What secret?”

“Wait until you arrive at the place, then you’ll know.” Finn chuckled.

“Are you going to tell me that you have a ranch in Proudshire? Or that you’ve built me a holiday home? I’m more interested in this.” Kay guessed, unable to think in any other direction. But clearly, she had heard something before.

“If that was the secret, you would have known it long before. Then how could it still be a secret?” Finn teased Kay by tapping her nose.

“Stop it, don’t touch my nose. What if it collapses, then you’ll abandon me.” Kay wrinkled her nose and retorted.

“Don’t talk nonsense. I will never abandon you, never in the future.” Finn pulled Kay into his arms and gently stroked her hair as he spoke.

“Yeah.” Kay whispered, wrapping her arms around Finn’s waist.

“We’ll leave as soon as we decide. I’ll call the airport and see when the earliest take-off time is. Then, we’ll head out.” Finn spoke quickly. The sooner this matter was resolved, the better – so that he could arrange bodyguards for Kay in advance.

Finn’s current status was different from before. Without the identity provided by the Hustle Spot, boarding a flight could have easily been delayed until the next day. But now, the airport had clearly received the notifications from above, so as soon as Finn made a call, he got a quick reply. They could take off within two hours.

As for the flight crew, no one had any objections, not even the air hostesses. After all, where could they find such a wealthy and generous employer? It wasn’t like they had to make any sacrifices either. Although, all the girls working there had repeatedly turned down several men they originally had high hopes for.

As for what they were waiting for, no one knew. By the time Finn arrived at the airport, the A380 had ample space so he brought Olivia on board too.
