Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 124: Embercliff Caverns

There was not a single miss, and Zhao Kai was left baffled by how such a scene was even possible to achieve.

"98…99…100…Feng hit a total of 100 times but can still keep going." Zhao Kai swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Unconsciously, his hands were starting to tremble, not from nervousness, but from excitement.

If someone had told him earlier that you could reach 100 times consecutive hits on the critical flesh points, then Zhao Kai would have laughed at them.

However, witnessing it with his very own eyes changed his perspective.

Nothing was more believable than seeing it with your own eyes than listening to it from another party.

As Zhao Kai remained amazed by Xu Feng\'s miraculous display of demonstration, he suddenly stood up, placed both his hands behind his ears, and shouted.

"Hot damn, the Ironwood Treant got destroyed already!!"

The time it took him to kill was actually shortened tremendously because of Xu Feng, despite their attributes being completely different.

Although Xu Feng had never revealed his actual level to him, he was positive that the staff in Xu Feng\'s hand was beginner equipment.

"How did Feng defeat the Ironwood Treant already?" He questioned himself, rubbing his eyes to check if he was in a dream or an illusion.

He even made sure to take another proper look at Xu Feng\'s staff, and was sure that it wasn\'t the ones he found from Fiona\'s Storage Room.

Since it was confirmed twice, Zhao Kai stepped forward and stared at him with a dazed expression.

"H-How did you do that, Feng?" He asked in a barely audible tone. This shock he received was even worse than the shock he got when he was told to join his grandfather\'s upcoming birthday party from Zhao Xin.

"Do what?" Xu Feng teased, feigning ignorance.

"Stop playing with me." Zhao Kai stomped his foot on the ground, frustrated by his tease.

"Tell me how did you consistently spot those interchangeable critical flesh points so quickly? Even I need to wait a while to determine the 2nd change location." He added.

His eyes were practically glowing as he wanted to know the method of how Xu Feng did it.

"It\'s fairly simple," Xu Feng smiled and pointed at another tree.

"As long as you train your perception, you can spot the differences, no matter how trivial they are. Since you are a Gun Knight and one that focuses solely on offense, you need to train it even more." He advised.

"I did, but it\'s just not good enough." Zhao Kai lowered his head and sighed.

"That\'s where you\'re wrong." Xu Feng suddenly raised his tone and poked at him with his staff. "Weren\'t you unable to detect any critical flesh point in the early stages? Yet look at you now. You were able to hit four consecutive times, before failing the fifth time."

Having been reminded of the success, Zhao Kai was left to ponder and recall his early stages.

"Right… I was struggling in the beginning but as I fought more. I slowly got the hang of it and grasped the concept somewhat." He mumbled, nodding his head in agreement with Xu Feng\'s words.

A few seconds later, he clenched his fist tightly with a refreshed mindset and shouted, "Alright, I\'ll just need to train more then!"

"I\'ll leave the Ironwood Treants material to you then." Xu Feng patted his shoulders and continued, "I\'ll look for the Pyrite Drakes."

Startled, Zhao Kai glanced at him, "Are you sure about that, Feng? How are you going to fight the Pyrite Drakes?"

"You don\'t need to worry about that. Just focus on farming the Ironwood Treants, and if you\'re done, then you can begin on the Shadow Wolves." Xu Feng calmly responded.

Previously, he was merely worried about his skills not being adequate so he decided to babysit him for a while.

However, now that it became quite clear that Zhao Kai could play independently, he could hasten the mission alone.

Although quite reluctant about it, Zhao Kai\'s urge to train more after being enlightened was overwhelming.

"Fine, have it your way, but don\'t die like an idiot." Zhao Kai said cheekily.

Given Xu Feng\'s capability, he was foolish to have worried for him anyway.

Just his previous demonstration showed him how far their combat experience was.

"Haha, anyway, if you can hit 25 consecutive critical flesh points, then I\'ll treat you to a feast. Otherwise, I\'ll thank you in advance." Xu Feng waved his hands, bidding him farewell while giving Zhao Kai a challenge.

Though, it was more of a motivation boost rather than a challenge.

"Hmph, want me to treat you? Dream on!" Shouted Zhao Kai, who promptly got ready to search for another disguise tree that was secretly the Ironwood Treant among the numerous trees.

Sometime later, Xu Feng left him alone as he ventured deeper into the Verdant Valley.

Nestled within the heart of the Verdant Valley, Embercliff Caverns was a labyrinth of glowing, molten rock formations and glittering mineral deposits.

The caverns were bathed in a perpetual twilight of shimmering light from the pyrite-laden walls, with streams of lava snaking through the rocky terrain, creating an intense and volatile atmosphere that perfectly suited the Pyrite Drake\'s fiery nature.

Upon entering the vicinity of the Embercliff Caverns, Xu Feng was instantly inflicted by the hostile environment, causing his attributes and health points to decrease.

"It\'s a good thing I have these saved up," He smiled bitterly, retrieved a Fire Resistance Potion, and consumed it.

Shortly after, his attributes returned to normal, having resisted the hostile environment temporarily.

Healing himself to the max, Xu Feng began to inspect the terrain.

After walking past the caverns, there were numerous cliffs, some high and some low, but Xu Feng knew those Pyrite Drakes preferred high-altitude ground.

As he raised his head up and glanced at the high cliff, he sighed. \'Luckily I\'m a baptized player, so it\'s doable.\'
