Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 82: Discovery!

"Feng, quickly get off me!!!" Zhao Kai screeched in panic when he realized Xu Feng was using him as a safety net.

"Hey, one person taking the full damage is better than two." Xu Feng, like a persistent leech, remained steady as he clutched tightly on Zhao Kai\'s back.

"My health points are lower than yours, so unless you want to be a bad friend and let me die from fall damage, then you will take one for the team!" He added, warning Zhao Kai of the consequence of flinging him off.

"I just knew you were up to something!" Zhao Kai cried in agony as he closed his eyes, knowing it was too late to even attempt to fling him off his back.

THUMP!

As Zhao Kai fell right to the ground, creating a small crater as dust began to pile up from the impact. His health became abysmally low, with only less than 2% of them remaining.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng casually got off from Zhao Kai, brushing aside some of the dust that got onto his clothes and glasses.

His health remained perfectly fine, "Phew, that was quite dangerous. I truly am blessed."

"..."

Still on the ground with his face kissing it, Zhao Kai curled his fingers together slowly, forming a fist. Just how heartless and cold-blooded was Xu Feng?

He was safe and sound because he tanked the whole fall damage for him. Yet instead of even giving him thanks, he had the audacity to say he was blessed?

"Feng, I want to punch you…" He exclaimed, struggling to get up. The pain sensation in the game was minimized so he wouldn\'t actually feel much pain, but the damage done to his body was still in effect.

To fall from such a height, any regular human would have been injured heavily or died.

"You\'re over-exaggerating too much, Shadow Blade." Xu Feng fixed his glasses and said, "As the delivery man, do you think they will kill you upon arrival? The design is quite mischievous as usual, ensuring you only have around 2% health."

After saying that, Xu Feng proceeded to heal Zhao Kai\'s health and extended a hand out to help lift him up.

Although still somewhat skeptical of his explanation, Zhao Kai also couldn\'t pinpoint anything wrong with his explanation.

He was indeed a delivery man, and it made zero sense why they would have him killed upon teleporting to the destination.

Once Zhao Kai stood up, he began to inspect the surroundings. Apparently, they were teleported to the outskirts of Willowbrook Village.

The outskirts of Willowbrook Village were peaceful, with thick forests and rolling hills, dotted with ivy-covered cottages and glowing flowers that gave a magical touch.

Cobblestone paths lined with tall willow trees wound through the area, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.

Staring with a dazed expression, Zhao Kai asked, "Are we still near the Verdant Valley? What happened to the eerie fog? The environment and vibe here is so different."

He couldn\'t fathom the sharp contrast of scenery from just previously. The dark and gloomy atmosphere was replaced with a tranquil and beautiful atmosphere.

"Did you not read the system prompt?" Xu Feng chuckled softly.

"You mean the discovery of the Willowbrook Village?"

"Mhmm, strictly speaking, we are still within the Verdant Valley, but also not quite. It\'s more like we\'re in a separate dimension and the NPCs here are living in their own world."

"Separate dimension? So like a parallel world or a new world within the world itself."

"Uhh– sure, if that\'s how you want to word it." Xu Feng coughed, clearly confused by his summarization and conclusion. Nevertheless, he found it pointless to explain these complicated things to him.

"Alright, let\'s enter the village now." He calmly said, walking toward the village\'s entrance.

"Wait up!" Zhao Kai clicked his tongue and quickly followed behind.

Once they neared the village entrance, two guards started to glare at them with an unfriendly expression.

"Um, do you think we\'re welcome here?" Zhao Kai moved closer to Xu Feng and whispered.

"Of course, just show them the letter and explain the reason for our arrival." Xu Feng responded.

Nodding, Zhao Kai quickly retrieved the letter and showed it to the guard with a somewhat nervous expression. After all, the letter was opened and as a delivery man, that was the biggest taboo thing one could do.

No one would appreciate the delivery person opening any type of package that they were supposed to deliver to a recipient.

However, to his surprise, the guards didn\'t seem bothered by the letter being opened and simply granted them entry.

"It was that easy?" Zhao Kai asked the moment they entered the village without any hiccups.

"What else did you think?" Xu Feng rolled his eyes, feeling exhausted by his constant worries.

But if he had to choose between his lax attitude or worried attitude, Xu Feng would choose the latter. At the very least, it meant that Zhao Kai was starting to take the Divine World seriously and not some simple game.

Alas, Zhao Kai\'s behavior easily changed once the "crisis" was over. He began to walk around and admired the scenery.

Inside the village, small, thatched-roof cottages clustered around a bustling square, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

The square was lined with shops, each displaying colorful wares, while the well-known blacksmith\'s forge emitted a warm, constant glow. The sound of hammers ringing against metal mixed with the chatter of NPCs, made the village feel lively and full of life.

"Is this really a village?" Zhao Kai asked curiously, clearly astonished by the lively atmosphere.

"Oh, they even got some food stalls!" His eyes lit up once he spotted some food vendors selling their food to the villagers.

Without hesitation, he quickly rushed up to line up behind the villagers, unaware that his appearance had already attracted quite the attention among the NPCs.
