Suppressing the Protagonist at the Start to Seize the Heroine

Chapter 100

Chapter 100

Su Lin saw Lin Xiaowan lying on the bed, her eyes following him as they spun around several times. He was certain that numerous thoughts were flashing through her mind.

She looked at Su Lin with a serious expression and asked, “Where’s that liar Xia Shiyu? Why isn’t she here?”

“Cough cough… She’s still resting,” Su Lin replied with an awkward smile.

“Resting? Did you punish her last night?”

Su Lin nodded: “Of course, I avenged you properly.”

“Hahaha~! Su Lin, you really have a thick skin, turning this into avenging me.” Lin Xiaowan looked at Su Lin with disdain, but her smile betrayed her good mood.

Su Lin walked over and placed the porridge on the bedside table: “If I didn’t have thick skin, how could I have won your hearts? Men need to be a bit shameless.”

“Nonsense!!!”

“This porridge smells so good. Where did you buy it from?” Lin Xiaowan deeply inhaled the aroma, almost intoxicated by it.

Su Lin replied: “Buy it? I personally cooked this to nourish your body, especially you, Xiaowan. You’re too weak.”

Lin Xiaowan was stunned: “Go to hell~!~!”

“Ouch…”

Just as she attempted to kick Su Lin, she realized moving her body was uncomfortable and could only glare at him furiously.

“Look at you. When we first met, you were so aloof. Now, you want to hit me at every turn. Ah~! Love really does end in domestic violence,” Su Lin said with a pained expression.

“Who… who’s committing domestic violence? I don’t hit hard, you know that. I’m not strong,” Lin Xiaowan retorted.

“Mmm, I know, I know. Eat your porridge now, and remember to exercise regularly in the future.”

“I won’t, and what can you do about it?” Lin Xiaowan said defiantly while eating her porridge.

Su Lin knew this was her way of expressing insecurity, a common issue for women transitioning into a new phase of their relationship, especially when their boyfriend has more than one girlfriend.

“Eat now, we’ll talk about exercising later.”

“Mmm~!!” Lin Xiaowan sat up and began to eat her porridge in small sips.

Su Lin watched her peacefully beautiful face, feeling a warmth rekindling in his heart. He cursed inwardly. This was typical of men, especially young ones; it was really maddening.

“Su Lin, I want to bully Xiaoyu later. Will you help me?”

“Help? Of course, I will. Xiaoyu betrayed your trust; she deserves to be punished, or else how can she share responsibilities with you in the future?” Su Lin patted his chest as he spoke.

Lin Xiaowan listened to Su Lin’s words, feeling something was off, but she couldn’t pinpoint what it was. She just nodded: “Right, after all I’ve done for her, she deceived me. I’m so mad.”

“Hehe…”

“You’re laughing? Are you in cahoots with her?”

Su Lin hurriedly replied: “That’s absolutely impossible. Xiaowan, I can assure you, I’ve never conspired with Xiaoyu to deceive you.”

“That’s more like it.”

After serving Lin Xiaowan her breakfast, Su Lin went to deliver some to Xia Shiyu. Only after both women had eaten did Su Lin return to Lin Xiaowan’s room for a nap.

In reality, he was the most tired but thankfully had an enhanced physique to endure such strain. Still, sleep was necessary.

When Su Lin woke up from his nap, Lin Xiaowan was no longer beside him. He yawned and went downstairs, finding Lin Xiaowan pressing Xia Shiyu down and tickling her.

“Xiaowan, please stop, ah… hahaha… stop tickling, it’s so itchy!!!”

Lin Xiaowan coldly laughed: “Xiaoyu, I have to teach you a lesson today. After all I’ve done for you, you still deceived me.”

“Wuwuwu… ahaha… Xiaowan, stop, I was wrong, I was wrong!”

Su Lin didn’t know how long they had been playing, but Xia Shiyu was indeed laughing until tears came out. He stepped forward to separate them, hugging one in each arm: “Why are you up so early?”

“We’ve slept enough. Who can sleep as much as you?” Lin Xiaowan gave Su Lin a sidelong glance, realizing he was trying to save Xia Shiyu from further tickling.

“Xiaowan, look, you’ve made Xiaoyu cry. Let’s forgive her this once. She did drink last night, after all. I think she didn’t mean to deceive you; she was just overcome by the alcohol and needed to rest,” Su Lin said, giving Xia Shiyu a knowing look.

Xia Shiyu, with tears still at the corner of her eyes, looked at Lin Xiaowan: “Xiaowan…”

“Alright, alright, I’ll forgive you this time. But remember, you can be forgiven, but from now on, you have to listen to me,” Lin Xiaowan said lightly.

Xia Shiyu looked at Lin Xiaowan, not understanding what she meant. Lin Xiaowan pointed at Su Lin, then glanced at Xia Shiyu. Xia Shiyu instantly understood!

“Except for what Su Lin says, I’ll listen to everything you say.”

Lin Xiaowan: “…”

“You might as well not listen at all then.” Frustrated, Lin Xiaowan had been thinking about their future.

Who knows what mischief Su Lin could get up to. She and Xia Shiyu needed to unite to keep Su Lin in check, to stop him from doing whatever he wanted.

But Xia Shiyu was single-minded, listening to Su Lin first and then her. That kind of alliance was pointless. In a critical moment, she would be the first to betray.

“Xiaowan, are you plotting something?”

“Me? Plot something bad? How could I…” Lin Xiaowan muttered without looking at Xia Shiyu. If she looked at her, she’d remember how Su Lin bullied her last night and want to get back at Xia Shiyu.

Without Xia Shiyu’s cooperation, any plan she had was meaningless, having no effect whatsoever.

Su Lin liked that Lin Xiaowan and Xia Shiyu maintained their personalities. He had worried they would become too compliant once their favorability maxed out, which would be boring.

But now, even with full favorability, they still had their own resolve and wouldn’t blindly agree to everything, though they would compromise if Su Lin insisted.

“Alright, what time is it? Are you two hungry?”

Lin Xiaowan touched her stomach: “I didn’t feel it until you mentioned it, but now I do feel a bit hungry.”

Su Lin chuckled at the little foodie: “Xiaowan, you always say this. Just speak up if you’re hungry; I won’t let you starve.”

Lin Xiaowan blushed: “Where did that come from? I really did just start feeling hungry. Xiaoyu, do you feel the same?”

Feeling guilty, Xia Shiyu nodded: “I feel the same, Su Lin. I’m hungry too.”

“See, it’s not just me. Xiaoyu feels the same way.”

Su Lin smiled: “Alright, let’s go out and grab something to eat.”

Lin Xiaowan stayed put on the sofa.

“What’s wrong, Xiaowan? Are you not comfortable?”

“Hmm, Su Lin, I want to eat something you cooked.” Lin Xiaowan looked expectantly at Su Lin. The porridge he made that morning was so delicious that she couldn’t get enough of it.

“Uh… alright, I’ll cook again. What would you like to eat?”

“I want something sweet, like sweet and sour pork loin, Dongpo pork…”

“Alright, alright, I’ll cook them for you, but you two have to help me,” Su Lin said with a mischievous smile.

“Ah~!!”

“Okay, okay, I wanted to learn cooking anyway.”

Su Lin was incredulous: “Xiaowan, you really don’t have a talent for cooking. Focus on your studies instead of wasting energy.”

“No, both you and Xiaoyu can cook so well, I’m sure I can do it too,” Lin Xiaowan said confidently.

Su Lin wondered where her confidence came from. Was it from not distinguishing between MSG and salt or from not being able to name the vegetables?

“Okay, then you try your best, and Xiaoyu and I will wait to feast on your cooking!!”
