Dragon Tamer

Chapter 359: 361: Trial of the Little Azure Dragon

It seemed he had indeed been running around a lot for Li Chuan Dragon Taming Academy.

He had almost forgotten, Duan Changqing, like himself, had accidentally ended up in Li Chuan Continent and, using some of the excellent traditions from Supreme Court Courtyard Continent, founded the Dragon Taming Academy here.

Everything had been so rushed back then that there was no time to ask him how he ended up on Li Chuan Continent in the first place.

Regarding the visitors from beyond the skies, the Void Vortex that allowed one to travel to another world, Zhu Minglang still wanted to understand it thoroughly.

“Zhu Minglang!!”

Seeing Zhu Minglang approaching, Duan Changqing’s eyes lit up as well.

He walked over quickly, as if greeting an old friend.

After all, Duan Changqing also believed that the troubles he found hard to discuss with others, Zhu Minglang would be able to understand.

Right now, the most troubling matter for Duan Changqing was how to explain to the people of Man City Academy that Li Chuan was not an uncivilized land of barrenness; its people were not savages who drank blood and ate flesh. There existed a free civilization in Li Chuan with God and Mortal beings, though not many, with Dragon Shepherds, although their Cultivation Base was generally not high…

But this was only because the land of Li Chuan was relatively small. Compared to some even more backward regions of Supreme Court Courtyard Continent, Li Chuan’s overall level of civilization and strength were not inferior to them.

Man City’s Dragon Taming College, in the end, still looked down upon it, not wishing for an academy solely established by Duan Changqing to be recognized among the true Dragon Taming academies.

“Sigh, in the end, it’s still my hope that the students from Li Chuan can also get the respect they deserve, but most importantly, that they can learn more excellent Dragon Taming philosophies…” Duan Changqing said helplessly.

“Dean, I can understand your feelings, and you don’t have to worry too much. I’ll find a way to make Man City Academy accept Li Chuan,” Zhu Minglang said.

Zhu Minglang himself had spent time at Li Chuan Dragon Taming Academy and knew many of the academy’s philosophies were worth passing on, whether it be how they treated the common people or their proactive approach to slaying demons and eliminating evil. Zhu Minglang could also feel how much Dean Duan Changqing cared about the Li Chuan Dragon Taming Academy.

“It’s good you’re here, otherwise I can’t guarantee that the students coming from Li Chuan will be able to withstand their tests and deliberate difficulties,” Duan Changqing nodded.

Duan Changqing had Zhu Minglang stay in this cottage, and Zhu Minglang did not refuse.

By late night, Little Qingzhuo had already woken up, and Zhu Minglang had long prepared the food materials for it.

“You can now perform spiritual resource enhancement, which on one hand can remove some attribute impurities lingering in its body, and on the other hand can guide it to acquire stronger abilities. During the youthful period, the growth period, it’s the easiest time to awaken some marvelous techniques!” Mr. Jinli said.

“Begin enhancement during the youthful period??” Zhu Minglang asked, somewhat surprised.

Originally, Zhu Minglang had only been preoccupied with preparing food materials for his young dragons and hardly considered enhancement and shaping; as a result, the skills awakened by each dragon were not very numerous…

“`

“Like humans, dragons have an incredibly strong ability to learn during their youth and growth stages, which must be leveraged well. First find a training ground, and let’s see what abilities the young Azure Phoenix Azure Dragon has mastered, and then we will decide on what to enhance based on the situation. Of course, be prepared to spend money; my cultivation methods tend to be quite costly,” Mr. Jinli said.

It was already night, yet in the training fields of Man City’s Dragon Taming College, many Dragon Shepherds could still be seen working hard at dragon taming.

Some were using Sandmen for combat practice, and others had their dragons sparring with each other. Zhu Minglang found a sandy beach training ground and summoned the Azure Phoenix Azure Dragon.

The Azure Phoenix Azure Dragon had already grown its feathers; it was the size of an adult eagle, but those four strands of luxuriously delicate phoenix tails made it instantly appear majestic and extraordinary.

Many Dragon Shepherd Students at the sandy beach training ground turned their gaze toward Zhu Minglang’s young dragon, seemingly captivated by the unique Azure Dragon.

“This fellow student, what kind of dragon is this you have? It looks unfamiliar,” inquired a curvaceous Female Dragon Shepherd, clearly taken with the Azure Phoenix Azure Dragon’s unique beauty and imposing appearance.

“This is an Azure Phoenix Green Saint Dragon,” Zhu Minglang responded with a smile.

“Green Saint Dragon? Little junior brother, do you realize what it means for a dragon to have ‘Saint’ prefixed to its name? Any dragon that possesses the Holy Dragon Bloodline, by the time they reach the Complete Period, is at least at the Dragon Monarch Level. Your dragon does seem to have some distinctive features, but calling it a Holy Dragon seems to be a bit too much,” the curvaceous woman’s male companion suddenly interjected.

The sharp-faced man, clearly acting as the woman’s sparring partner, curled his lip in disbelief when Zhu Minglang mentioned Little Qingzhuo as a Holy Dragon, looking as if Zhu Minglang was bragging.

Zhu Minglang couldn’t very well force the heads of those who couldn’t recognize its value to believe him.

“Junior brother, which branch are you from?” the curvaceous woman continued, appearing quite interested in Zhu Minglang.

“Li Chuan.”

“Li Chuan?? I’ve never heard of a Li Chuan Branch,” the woman said in surprise.

“Isn’t Li Chuan that mixed academy from the Li Chuan Continent? I’ve heard something about that; apparently, there’s some sort of academy on the recently annexed Li Chuan Continent to the Supreme Court Courtyard Continent, desperate to obtain our main college’s certification. So you’re from that mixed soil private academy. Haha, it seems like your dragon must also be a Hybrid Dragon or a Fake Dragon,” the sharp-faced man continued his mockery.

Zhu Minglang didn’t take kindly to this remark. He glanced at the sharp-faced man’s dragon, a Vulture Dragon, only at the Dragon Son Level.

“How about this: I’ve been wanting to show off my dragon’s abilities too. Why not let your Vulture Dragon be a sparring partner?” Zhu Minglang suggested.

“This is hilarious. That’s a young dragon you’ve got there. I’m afraid my fierce Vulture Dragon might kill it with a single claw. If something happens, won’t they say we at the Dragon Taming High Court are overbearing bullies, ruining our college’s reputation?” the sharp-faced man spoke with disdain and sarcasm.

“No worries. If as a Holy Dragon, it can’t handle a Vulture Dragon that does nothing but eat mice and rotting flesh, being defeated would be just as well,” Zhu Minglang replied calmly.

“You said it yourself; I didn’t force you!” the sharp-faced man immediately became excited. He had behaved reluctantly at first, but now he seemed eager to engage in a fight.

“Of course.” Zhu Minglang nodded.

Little Qingzhuo stood on Zhu Minglang’s shoulder, its strikingly unchanging azure eyes fixed on the Vulture Dragon, which was several times larger in size.

In truth, from the start, the Azure Phoenix Azure Dragon had not considered such a low-tier dragon a threat, but now that it had been challenged, it was certainly not averse to teaching it a lesson!
