I Have A Disciple Simulator

Chapter 88: The Emergence of the Immortal

“Lu, are you cultivating right now?”

Lu Changsheng was pondering how to refine an Immortal Artifact when a voice came to him, it was his senior, Zhao Wuyan, secretly transmitting his message. “What brings Zhao here?”

“Recently, in the northern region of Huang State, an Immortal Ruin has appeared. The six major sects are all abuzz with the news. Don’t tell me you don’t know about it, Lu?”

“Immortal Ruins?”

Lu Changsheng had read about these in the Mount Shu archives.

So-called Immortal Ruins are essentially the former abodes of Ancient Great Powers who, after ascending or failing in their Tribulation, leave their dwellings masterless. These abodes may contain rare treasures or inheritances.

Every time an Immortal Ruin appears, the six major sects and the four Great Demon Sects would send people to explore it.

Some Immortal Artifacts or immortal-level Cultivation Techniques were indeed obtained from these ruins.

The owners of these Immortal Ruins belonged to eras that predate even the founding of the six major sects.

When Sect Leaders of the six major sects ascend or fail their Tribulation, their treasures and inheritances would only be left within their own Sects, hence no Immortal Ruins would be left outside.

Though Immortal Ruins are ownerless, the original masters may have left various Formations and mechanisms behind, sometimes leading to extreme danger and a slim chance of survival.

With both the six major sects and the four Great Demon Sects dispatching people, it’s possible that a great battle could erupt within the Immortal Ruins.

“Based on the location of the newly emerged Immortal Ruin, the six major sects speculate that the owner might have been an ancient cultivator known as the Divine Tree Immortal Emperor.”

“Only cultivators below the Void Refinement Realm can enter the Divine Tree Immortal Ruins. The six major sects suspect this is a selection by the Divine Tree Immortal Emperor, deliberately screening candidates below the Void Refinement Realm for his inheritance. The Sect Leader plans to send the eldest disciple to lead a team to investigate the Ruins. Do you want to go?”

Zhao Wuyan explained the situation in just a few words.

The inheritance of the Divine Tree Immortal Emperor? And only cultivators below the Void Refinement Realm can enter?

Lu Changsheng had an unmatched presence in the Dao Palace Realm. If he entered this Immortal Ruin, he would be like a fish in water.

“Hmm.”

With the eldest disciple leading the team, combined with his own cultivation level and a number of premium magical treasures, he should be safe, right?

“Haha, with the eldest disciple and Lu going, I’ll join in the fun as well. The inheritance within the Immortal Ruins may not necessarily relate to one’s cultivation level but rather to their compatibility. Maybe I’ll be extremely lucky and inherit something from the Divine Tree Immortal Emperor. I’ve had some insights recently and reached the sixth layer of the Dao Palace Realm. I could be of some help,” Zhao continued.

Zhao Wuyan loved getting involved in things, and it would be impossible for him not to take part in the emergence of these Immortal Ruins.

“The Immortal Ruins are definitely dangerous, but fortunately, I have the True Martial Sword, the Qilin Cloud Pattern Daoist Robe, and all sorts of Elixir Pills and Talismans. I’ve got countless means to save my own life.”

“For this trip to the Immortal Ruins, being in the eighth layer of the Dao Palace Realm might not be reliable enough. It would be best if I could break through to the ninth layer of the Dao Palace Realm before departing. That would be truly stable.”

It had been only a few months since Lu Changsheng reached the eighth layer of the Dao Palace Realm, but the copious amounts of cultivation he benefited from teaching his disciples had brought him to the verge of another breakthrough.

The six major sects might all send Elders in the Dao Palace Realm into the Immortal Ruins in hopes of acquiring the inheritance.

If even one person succeeds, the Sect could benefit from it.

“What if disciples are taken along?”

Lu Changsheng used his three chances to simulate his disciples’ lives, assuming he took each of them to the Immortal Ruins.

“Both Lu Qinglian and Mo Huazhi’s simulated outcomes are extremely ominous; should they go to the Immortal Ruins this time, they’d likely encounter disaster.”

“The simulation for my eldest disciple, Lin Qingzhi, however, is unexpectedly good. I might as well take him along for some experience this time.”

Having seen the simulation results, Lu Changsheng decided to take his eldest disciple out for training. En route, he could continue rewarding and performing power-infusing initiations, and by simulating Lin Qingzhi’s future, he could seek fortune and avoid disaster.

“Besides continuing cultivation, I also need to keep bestowing treasures, in hopes of obtaining an Immortal Artifact.”

Lu Changsheng continued to cultivate silently on Qingyun Peak.

At Ten Thousand Swords Peak, Li Changye was summoned by the Sect Leader.

“This emergence of the Immortal Ruins is unclear to me whether it is auspicious or ominous. You, Wuyan, and Changsheng will lead teams into the Immortal Ruins. You must be extremely careful. Within the same realm, there should be few who can match you. Changsheng has been studying the Taiqing Wuji Technique with me recently and will soon comprehend the seventh layer. If you cannot hold up on your own during the exploration, you can trust him.”

“Disciple will keep this in mind. Brother Lu’s cultivation speed is also too quick, almost catching up to me.”

“The Ancestral Master came to me in a dream to pass on the Taiqing Wuji Technique. His cultivation progress is astonishing indeed but is certainly not the result of practicing any heretical techniques. As long as that is the case, I am reassured.”

Master Taiyuan was not concerned about his disciple’s rapid progress in cultivation, as long as it was not due to practicing any forbidden techniques.

Lu Changsheng’s swift advancements in cultivation were undoubtedly a good thing for Mount Shu.

Besides Li Changye, Mount Shu had another young pillar.

Someday, Master Taiyuan was bound to face his Tribulation. Whether he succeeded or failed, he would no longer be able to protect Mount Shu; at that time, it would be up to people like Li Changye and Lu Changsheng to stand up.

“Do not delay. You will lead the team out in three days. To prevent the Demon Sects from ambushing on the way, I will escort you inside. If you encounter any danger inside, exit immediately.”

” Disciple will heed your words.”

After receiving his orders from Master Taiyuan, Li Changye left on his Flying Sword and returned to his cave abode, preparing Elixir Pills, Talismans, and treasures.

” I must make a trip to the Immortal Ruins. During this period, you stay behind to guard the cave abode and diligently cultivate.”

“Master, I want to accompany you to try my luck with the Immortal Fate.”

Xiao Xiangdao returned to Mount Shu, having broken through to the first layer of the Nascent Soul Realm; however, Xiao Xiangdao lost to Lin Qingzhi’s sword, leaving him with an unwilling heart.

With the emergence of the Immortal Ruins, if he could obtain a legacy, he would be able to leave Lin Qingzhi behind.

“Inside the Immortal Ruins, there are countless traps and mechanisms. Even I am not entirely sure of safety. You have only just entered the Nascent Soul Realm, and it is far too dangerous for you. Are you sure you want to go?”

“Your student wishes to go.”

“Very well.”

Li Changye did not refuse Xiao Xiangdao’s request.

As for Immortal Fate, such a thing is mysterious and unfathomable, truly hard to predict.

At Qingyun Peak, Lin Qingzhi was once again summoned to the cave abode by Lu Changsheng.

“In three days, I will go to investigate the Divine Tree Immortal Ruins. You have an Immortal Fate, and I have decided to bringyou along.”

“Disciple fears holding back Master.”

Lin Qingzhi also knew that the Immortal Ruins were exceptionally dangerous; as a cultivator at the initial stage of the Nascent Soul Realm, it was unlikely for him to gain anything, and he might even burden Lu Changsheng by requiring his attention for protection.

“lam bringing you along for my reasons. You just need to ensure your own safety when the time comes.”

Lu Changsheng was indifferent.

He had already simulated his disciple’s experience in advance. Bringing Lin Qingzhi along would be beneficial and not harmful.

Previously, Lu Changsheng had gifted Lin Qingzhi with a significant amount of Elixir Pills and Talismans. Although Lin Qingzhi was at the Nascent Soul Realm, his ability to preserve his life was no less than that of a Dao Palace realm cultivator.

“In these three days, I will gift you some more treasures for self-preservation.”

Lu Changsheng continued to find reasons to reward his disciple with treasures.

Besides the Flying Sword, Lu Changsheng also tried gifting other types of

treasures.
