Global Game: I, the Necromancer, am the scourge

Chapter 65: Plan B!

The trouble was that this Second Order dungeon, from beginning to end, always presented some problems. The run was anything but smooth, leaving him feeling inexplicably frustrated.

However, he didn’t stay put. Instead, he had the Hell Demon Puppet grab the neck of the Jackalwolf Sentinel with one hand, lifting it like a chicken by its neck, while the other iron palm kept on slapping repeatedly.

“Hmph, after I kill this sentinel, I’ll come back for trouble with you big dogs’. Zi Liyuan once again mounted the Hell Demon Puppet’s neck, directing it towards the residential area of the city.

The square was open and the opposition had over two hundred Jackalwolves, along with a boss that could mow down enemies, so if they kept skirmishing here, they might get surrounded by a mere slip-up, and then there would be real trouble.

So Zi Liyuan wanted to move the battlefield, at least to a somewhat narrower place that could funnel the enemies.

At this moment, he still had the bodies of over thirty minor bosses lying in his spatial backpack!

If he could pull off the same trick and use the terrain to put on another Corpse Explosion Technique show, killing all those minor bosses would make the conquest of the Jackalwolf Barbarian King a cakewalk.

With the attack strength of the Jackalwolf Barbarian King, it would take 8 to 9 normal attacks to break through the bone prison, or even if using skills to increase damage, it would still take 3 to 4 hits.

While the obstruction time was brief, it could block the boss for at least 8 seconds. Given the Hell Demon Puppet’s speed, even while being ridden and holding on to a big dog, it could still run a hundred meters or more.

Moreover, Zi Liyuan wasn’t just planning a simple getaway. Before leaving, he summoned a large group of 256 Shield Combat Skeletons, completely surrounding the Jackalwolf Barbarian King in the middle of the Skeleton Army. Whenever the BOSS tried to smash the bone walls at that position, several Shield Combat Skeletons at the opposite location would use taunts together, forcibly dragging the BOSS’S aggro, making the BOSS run a few extra meters to attack the bone walls.

Such clever maneuvers could delay the BOSS from destroying the bone prison for a few more seconds.

Meanwhile, most of the other bosses originally entangled by the Shield Combat Skeletons were now freed, swarming toward their leader in an attempt to help him escape the confines of the prison quickly.

On the other hand, as Zi Liyuan sat atop the Hell Demon Puppet’s neck, surveying the surrounding terrain, the Hell Demon Puppet ran unhindered, its palm strikes never ceasing, causing the Jackalwolf Sentinel to howl in agony.

It wasn’t that the Sentinel BOSS didn’t want to resist; the difference in overall strength was simply too great, completely overpowered by pure strength, unable to break free from the iron grip of the Hell Demon Puppet, it could only be dragged along while being choked.

As for the various attack spells and techniques used by the BOSS in retaliation, they failed to make the slightest splash on the Hell Demon Puppet, all missing completely.

In this moment, the Jackalwolf Sentinel felt desperate, especially as it felt its health plummeting rapidly.

But it was helpless, being gripped as it was and intermittently struck on the head hard enough to cause brief dizziness, slowing down its spellcasting.

Whenever it tried to cast a healing ability on itself, that damned human Mage would cast fear, forcing it into terror, thus interrupting the cast and causing spell backlash, forcing the cooldown of the ability it was trying to cast. Unfortunately, its only instant-cast ability, Ancient Tree of Tranquility, had a cooldown time of 15 minutes, and from the last usage until now, when its fate was being choked by the enemy, the cooldown time had not yet elapsed. The 26-second LV9 damage amplification effect vanished in the blink of an eye; during this lengthy period, the Hell Puppet had been relentlessly attacking the werewolf watchers, wiping out over 450,000 of their health, nearly one- third of their total.

“Damn, who designed this residential area? It’s either sparse or crowded with stone houses, there’s no strategic terrain at all.”

Upon arriving in the residential area, most buildings that met the eye were stone houses about three meters high, and even the taller buildings were only around three stories, not exceeding nine meters in height.

With the werewolves’ abilities, they could easily leap onto the rooftops of such low buildings.

“Plan A is not viable, looks like we have to switch to Plan B.

Plan A was naturally to find a terrain advantage, but now, without any, they had to resort to Plan B-forceful slaughter!

“Lao Tie, turn around, we’re charging straight into the mob of mini-bosses!” Zi Liyuan patted the Hell Puppet’s steel-like head, then opened his Spatial Backpack, ready to toss out boss corpses at any moment to clear the field with the Corpse Explosion Technique.

With 100,000 health points, the mini-bosses would suffer physical damage equivalent to 60% of their total health, meaning one corpse could deal 60,000 damage. By rushing into the group of bosses, two corpses would be able to kill all mini-bosses within a ten-meter radius.

Then, they could continuously obtain mini-boss corpses; even hero bosses wouldn’t withstand the blasts from hundreds of mini-boss corpses!

The Hell Puppet, holding a werewolf watcher, turned and charged toward the pursuing werewolf warriors.”

At the same time, Zi Liyuan began another spellcasting channel; after a few seconds, three bone shields were summoned, circling around him.

The LV9 Bone Shields could each block 500 points of damage and provided automatic protection for up to 60 seconds, with a cooldown of 90 seconds, consuming 200 points of spiritual energy.

This was the only defensive skill for a Necromancer, but it was mediocre for Zi Liyuan with his current health pool of 28,000, better than nothing.

The Hell Puppet moved swiftly, plunging headfirst into the mini-boss group, and at the moment of contact, it used the group aggro skill “Mana Induction” to draw all the hatred of the werewolves within ten meters to itself.

Zi Liyuan had been waiting for this moment and, without any hesitation, hurled the corpses of two werewolf warriors. With a swipe of his spirit, he cast the Corpse Explosion Technique.

The two corpses, one in front and one behind, swelled up madly and in a flash reached their limit before violently exploding with a “bang.” Flesh and bone fragments, carrying a massive aura of death, instantly engulfed a ten-meter radius.

Due to the “Mana Induction,” the werewolves, eyes blood-red, huddled together, glowering at the towering Hell Puppet, only to be decimated by the explosion in an instant.

And this was merely the beginning of the Corpse Explosion display!

The “boom” of explosions, from near to far, continued to resound constantly. Batch after batch of jackalwolves, caught in the reach of the Corpse Explosion Technique, mysteriously perished from the deathly force, dying very peacefully.

Also affected was the werewolf watcher being dragged by the neck and pulled along by the Hell Puppet.

The Hell Puppet targeted wherever there were more people, so each Corpse Explosion was always by his side, meaning the werewolf watcher got a full brunt of the blast every time.
