Undead God: I Can Extract Everything

Chapter 31 - 31: 031 Dean McKenzie Template Upgrade

Land of the Wraith.

As Doggy Two casually killed the Low-Level Phantom Lord, system notifications began to update frenetically.

Simultaneously, the black throne of the Low-Level Phantom Lord shattered, revealing a black treasure chest.

However, at this moment, neither the treasure chest nor the system notifications were Dean McKenzie’s primary focus.

His first and foremost concern was the Grant Quota he received when he reached level 10.

His Talent was generally great, but Grant Quotas were quite scarce.

He only received an additional one at level 5.

With great anticipation, Dean McKenzie had finally received this Grant Quota, and without a second thought, he opened his Attribute Panel and assigned this quota to the “Spirit” attribute.

As for why he didn’t explore other options and flirt around with them.

There was truly no need to do so.

After all, this Grant Quota was an irreversible decision made.

So, he simply had to choose a path and tread on it blindly!

[You have activated the[Spiritual Attribute Allocation], and you can start enhancing your Spirit Attribute! ]

The system notification was updated, and Dean immediately sprung into action.

He first picked up all the radiating points on the ground.

At this moment, Dean was looking for Mana Potions among the radiant points.

During the recent battle, he had used up most of his mana and needed Mana Potions to replenish it.

Luckily, small phantoms have a high probability of dropping Mana Potions.

Dean McKenzie collected all the radiant points, receiving 55 silver coins, 15 Mana Potions, one Micro Mana Potion Formula, and two pieces of equipment.

Dean didn’t have time to examine the properties of these two pieces of equipment, but he hastily guzzled the Mana Potions.

It was a painful process for Dean to drink them, as he had just consumed 10 potions, and his stomach was already full of liquid.

Thankfully, the recovery power in Mana Potions was easily absorbed and quickly excreted, freeing up space for more to be consumed.

Otherwise, Dean would indeed be incapable of drinking any more at this point.

Even so, Dean could only manage to consume three more potions before becoming unable to drink anymore.

But those three bottles provided 300 mana, enough to use Extraction fifteen times.

[You have successfully used your Talent on the[Elite Small Phantom], gaining 1 Spirit point and one fragment of an Elite Template!]

[You have successfully used your Talent on the[Low-Level Small Phantom Lord], gaining 1 Spirit point and one Low-Level Lord Fragment!]

[You have successfully used your Talent on the[Small Phantom], gaining 0.3 Spirit points!]

Dean used his power on the Elite Monsters in the Ghost Group first, and then he used the remaining energy on the normal monsters.

In total, he gained 9.1 Spirit Points, one Low-Level Lord Fragment, and six Elite Templates.

Dean then turned round and used this power on himself.

[You consumed 5 silver coins to enhance your Spirit attribute, increasing your Spirit by 5 points and raising your Mana limit to 111!]

[Your Spirit has reached the enhancement limit…]

[You used the[Elite Template]on your[Spirit Attribute], upgrading your Template to an Elite Template!]

[Consuming 8 bronze coins and 200 copper coins, enhancing your Spirit Attribute by 4.1, and increasing your Mana limit to 152!]

After a series of operations, Dean’s Spiritual Power had risen to 15.2. Although it hadn’t reached the peak yet, it was an impressive level already.

At this point, his Bone Fang attack could deal 18.24 damage and using the Bone Shield could provide a formidable defense of 78.8.

Suffice it to say, Dean’s power had undergone an epic level increase.

What surprised Dean even more was that while he was still grinning at his impressive 15.2 attribute points, another system prompt updated.

[As your template has been upgraded to[Elite Quality], your Grant Quota has increased by 1!]

Upon seeing this golden finger-like notice, Dean was stunned for a moment before a smile involuntarily spread across his face.

“It’s unexpected, but also makes sense.”

As it stands, Dean, after experiencing three rounds of attribute enhancements, has personally understood the power of his Talent.

Simultaneously, he also clearly knew what this additional Grant Quota represented.

“This means, I can increase one of my attributes by 15 points or develop an incredible Skill!”

The thought alone was enough to excite Dean.

However, excitement aside, Dean didn’t rush to make use of this Grant Quota.

Firstly, both his Mana and Extraction attributes were presently depleted.

Secondly, now wasn’t the time.

He still had many system notifications and gains to process.

Dean’s gaze first landed on the two pieces of equipment he had neglected earlier.

Name: Rotten Poison Arrow Bag

Level: Level 10

Usage Requirements: Archer

Effect 1: Can poison the arrows in the bag, adding 6 poison damage to each arrow (each use of poison requires 5 Spirit Points, up to 10 arrows can be poisoned at once)

Effect 2: Adds 5 meters to shooting range

Not a bad piece of equipment, the problem is that Dean can’t use it right now.

He currently doesn’t have a Skeleton Archer, nor an Archer Template.

“I’ll sell it when I get back!”

Saying so, Dean turned his attention to the next item.

Name: Small Fireball Staff

Level: Level 10

Usage Requirements: Mage

Effect 1: Skill[Small Fireball]Level +1 (maximum Level 3)

Effect 2: Skill[Small Fireball]Damage +2

Seeing the stats of this piece of equipment, Dean couldn’t help lamenting, “Am I supposed to consider today’s luck as good or bad?”

It’s a great piece of equipment, but unfortunately, he can’t use it.

Dean could only place his hopes on the Black Iron Treasure Chest, hoping that it would surprise him with gold coins like the previous one.

[You’ve opened a Black Iron Treasure Chest, obtaining a[Random Promoting Quest Book](Task type)!]

Name: Random Promotion Quest Book (Task type)

Description: Once used, it will activate a Deputy Promotion Quest. After completing the quest, you will gain the corresponding deputy profession.

“Great!”

Even though Dean didn’t know what made this object special yet, he knew very well that it was definitely a good item.

“Alright, the items were revealed, now it’s time for the tasks!”

Saying this, Dean focused on the system notifications.

His eyes first landed on the completion notification for the [Lord of the WraithJ quest.

His gaze stayed on it, and the new system prompt was refreshed.

[Do you want to claim the quest reward?]

“Yes!”

Dean nodded, and the next moment, the shattered Throne of Corpses and Phantom Throne became beams of light, rising into the air and merging into Doggy Two’s Bone Throne.

With the merging of these two thrones, the Bone Throne emitted a pale light.

Then, to Dean’s utter astonishment, a transformation took place.

He clearly saw that as the pale light emanated from the Bone Throne, the entire Land of the Wraith underwent dramatic changes.

An endless sea of bones began to emerge in the pale light.

System notifications started to be updated once again.,.
