The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 316 - 316 National Meeting <2>

“Probably? They’re not telling anyone about the specific date. Probably because they know that if others were to find out, the connection might be sabotaged in the middle.” Jake shrugged.

Lotte nodded in understanding.

Even though they all looked united on the surface, it couldn’t be helped that there were actually some forces that wanted to mess around. They didn’t like the order and just wanted to be more powerful on their own.

These giant mutated animals’ appearance had given them a chance.

But at the same time, they had to work hard on their own because those who support the order would definitely not want to help them.

“Robby, help me repair the room!” Lucy pounced on Robby and hugged the big dog happily.

“Wang! Wang!” <I can help but give me more food!>

Robby wagged his tail happily.

.....

Lucy looked at Marc as she couldn’t understand what Robby was talking about. Marc sighed deeply and replied, “This glutton dog wants more food.”

“Hahaha, got it! I’ll prepare more food for you.”

“Wang! Wang!” <in that case, what are you waiting for? I’ll repair the room right away!>

Robby became so excited.

Jake watched this scene and felt speechless. He looked at the training room and silently backed away. Anyway, if he could spare his strength, why should he waste it to repair this damned training room?

It has been hammered to death by Lucy almost every single day.

This muscle woman truly had nothing better to do.

“Let’s go for another round. I want to try the lightning room again.” Lotte quickly pulled Jake to another room. She had been addicted to this peculiar way of training, so she didn’t hesitate and pull her boyfriend together.

Jake looked at the excited Lotte and silently felt that his marriage’s day was getting further and further away.

He silently scolded Kyle for making this training room.

Now, he couldn’t even discuss the specific date of his marriage with Lotte yet.

<Kyle and Kate’s Room in General Ryan’s Place>

Hatchi!

Kyle rubbed his nose and furrowed his eyebrows. He thought of his two other friends as his eyes narrowed. Jake better not talked bad about him again.

He didn’t mind giving that guy another beating if that was the case.

“Hey, Kyle, can this work properly?” Kate asked, pointing at the laptop in front of her curiously. Even if they said that the communication line had been restored, the people who would contact them were coming from all over the nation.

Has the communication line truly restored for all of them?

“It should be.” Kyle pulled the hood behind Kate’s head. “Wear it properly. Not many people know your face right now.”

Kate pursed her lips. “Everyone in City E knows.”

“They’re under strict order not to reveal anything. Besides, you rarely got out of this area.” Kyle shrugged.

Kate’s range of activity so far were only the Research Institute and his father’s house in the military area. These two areas were restricted area, which meant only a certain number of people could come.

Because of that, not many people knew Kate’s real face.

When she got out of these two areas, she would turn into a cat because at that time, she would be following Kyle to eliminate these giant mutated animals on the wall.

“Fine. How about you?” Kate pulled the hood so that it would cover her face properly.

Kyle shook his head. He could be said to be quite famous ever since he was young and had interacted with a lot of people. His face was already made known to many people, so there was really no point in hiding it anymore.

Though, under Kate’s insistence, Kyle had to wear a half mask. Well, it would only cover his mouth as if he was sick.

Beep!

The computer sounded alarm and the two’s attention was diverted to it. Kate swiftly jumped to the side where another table had been prepared. Even if others were to know that Kyle and Kate were together in City E, there was no need to make them aware that they were in the same room.

Kyle watched Kate’s movement and felt amused. Did she not realize that their background is the same so her movement was useless?

The screen finally converged, showing several people’s faces.

It looked like a normal online meeting where everyone would be separated by some boxes or something like that. Looking at the number, there were a total of 9 people including Kyle and Kate.

Kyle’s eyes narrowed.

It seemed that their nation was not that bad in terms of research. At the very least, there were 9 strong people on the surface who had reached rank 7.

As for the real number?

Who knew how many people were actually hiding.

“Everyone is here.” A middle aged man looked at the people in the screen in front of him. Some of them wore mask or hood in order to cover up their real faces, but as the leader of this meeting, he naturally knew their real identities.

Of course, all of their information had long been sealed so that no one would be able to figure it out.

Despite the threat of these giant mutated animals, there were still international threat. The countries were able to coexist peacefully before but with these giant mutated animals and the fact that many people needed resources, it was unknown how long the peace would last.

They would need these strong awakened as deterrence to prevent all out war with other countries at such dire junctures.

“Yes, what’s the important point you would like to discuss?” Another man who wore black robe asked.

“It should be in regards to our abilities, isn’t it?” A charming woman asked with a faint smile. She didn’t even bother covering up her face while her bright red hair fluttered behind her.

“What? I thought it would be something important.” Another man laughed.
