Game Transmigration: Saving the World Again 1000 Years Later

Chapter 233 - 233 Wealth

William possessed unparalleled willpower and computational power, allowing him to easily control his Mirror Shadow clones with just the movement of his fingers.

He would switch his perspective on the battlefield constantly, calculating the casualties on both sides as he commanded his one-man army to take on the other party’s seemingly endless legion.

(#4, #37, we need to reinforce #2 who’s currently facing Carnage alone.)

(There are too many soldiers. #4, use the Storm spell, Howling Wind, to clear a small area.)

(The Holy Spirit Disc has reached its maximum load. If we use Legendary spells, it could result in the destruction of the original structure.)

(However, the estimated damage is acceptable if it means we can kill Carnage.)

(#72, #56, and #69, protect the flanks and prevent the King of Deathblood spawns from providing reinforcement.)

(After striking down Carnage, use Blink to hand Judgment 2 to #2 to finish it off.)

William’s mind raced as he instantly formulated machine-like, precise thoughts. These thoughts quickly turned into clear instructions that he passed on to his Mirror Shadow clones for execution. He felt like a high-speed computer, calculating resources, analyzing enemy weaknesses, and optimizing attack plans.

The downside of controlling so many clones at once was that William couldn’t communicate with the Astral World or open the mana pathway of his ether domain. However, the mana he used to maintain the clones came from the Holy Spirit Disc on his back, effectively acting as a powerful mana reactor.

Unfortunately, it was impossible for them to cast Divine Realm spells, and it would be extremely difficult for William to split his mental strength to construct a Legendary spell. Furthermore, the mana needed for even an Apprentice spell would permanently wear down the durability of the Holy Spirit Disc, which couldn’t sustain the mana consumption of more than 90 clones.

It was clear that William’s army of less than 100 men wouldn’t be able to withstand the endless attacks of the Moon Realm Legion. Even with his clones, who had 80% of his basic stats, they were just a few dozen high-level infantrymen because they couldn’t release magic.

But if they had full sets of divine equipment, the situation would be completely different.

“All for Ms. Camilla, and for hunger and corruption to roam the earth forever!”

With a sticky roar that sounded like phlegm in their throats, hundreds of Plaguewalkers and thousands of bloated undead pushed forward under the lead of the seven Stumbling Demons, squeezing the circular space on the left flank of the battlefield like a slowly ambling city wall.

The Lady of Starvation’s troops, with their reliance on numbers and brute force, were proving to be a greater challenge for William’s Holy Spirit Army than the flashy, surprise-attacking troops of the Whispering Empress and Sin of Crimson Desire. William found it difficult to defeat the mindless undead troops with their ridiculous amounts of HP by targeting key nodes.

Furthermore, if the battle dragged on for too long and the Stumbling Demon’s plague effects stacked, William would have to use valuable mental strength and the durability of the Holy Spirit Disc to purify a large area.

(#14, release the Revolutionary Weapon: General Blackdeath’s Death Blade, Ghost March.)

(#20, activate the Phoenix Pendant’s purification effect to expel the Stumbling Demon’s flesh curse.)

William knew he had to act fast. The left flank of the battlefield was under heavy attack

from the Lady of Starvation Legion. Suddenly, six massive ghost sabers materialized out of nowhere, surrounded by a swarm of wraiths. They hovered around William, who was dressed in bone armor and had a deadly look in his eyes.

“I have the power to bring the troops of General Blackdeath back to life, but it can only be used once a day.” William spoke quietly, his bone armor glinting in the light. “It’s time to let them walk the land again.”

The Ghost Sabers circled their master like a lawn mower, quickly turning the bloated undead around him into piles of minced meat. As soon as he finished speaking, the massacre began.

After every undead was minced, a ferocious wraith began to condense. With the nourishment of about five to six bloated undead, a wraith could gain enough strength to escape and transform into a spirit dragging a black military saber and wearing the uniform of the ancient Blackwater Kingdom’s soldiers from the Silver Calendar.

I’ve never seen how many dead souls the General Blackdeath’s Death Blade can summon in-game, but this is definitely an eye-opener.

After the six Ghost Sabers caused chaos for a short time, all the wraiths around them disappeared. Then, as if they were out of energy, they landed and stabbed the ground around William, who was controlling them.

The wraiths from before had all turned into solid Ghost Soldiers. They held military sabers and fought the bloated undead and Plaguewalkers on the left side of the battlefield. There seemed to be hundreds of them.

William was shocked.

This divine artifact, General Blackdeath’s Death Blade, came from the ancient Blackwater Kingdom. It was used by a general who used ceremonial magic to mirror Death Vera. The weapon could summon the Ghost Army of the general through slaughter and sacrifice.

However, in the game, the conversion effect of this equipment was very weak. To summon a ghost of average strength, one had to kill a few enemy units. Due to the limitations of the game pod and the player’s first-person information reception ability, fewer than a hundred units could appear on the same screen in the game, excluding the backdrops they couldn’t interact with.

So, even though William killed all the enemy units on a map during an experiment, he couldn’t summon more than 20 ghosts. This combat strength wasn’t even useful in later battles.

But now, when William activated the special effect of this weapon, there were no restrictions.

Hundreds of ghosts with 80% physical damage reduction were enough to hold the Lady of Starvation’s line.

Similar situations happened in every corner of the battlefield.

Although William’s clones couldn’t use spells, the equipment they carried—be it divine weapons forged by Authority holders in the past, divine artifacts forged and enchanted by Legendary craftsmen, holy relics blessed by the Holy Spirits, or even magical divine artifacts cursed by the Void Sovereigns—could greatly affect the battle even without calculating the attribute benefits they brought to the wearer.

The skill effects of some equipment were even comparable to Divine Realm spells.

Equipment skills that were too overpowered usually had limitations, like needing to be fully charged or having a long cooldown period (typically once a day).

But in the game, players could only use one set of equipment at a time, and the special skills of that equipment could only be used as an added bonus in battle, not as the main source of damage.

However, when reality and the game merged and William was able to provide his own mana through the Holy Spirit Disc and control his Mirror Shadow clones through the Holy Spirit figurines, everything changed.

If the Moon Realm Legion facing him represented the Void Sovereigns and the extension of the Moon Realm’s power, then William had all the best, most powerful equipment from every era at his disposal.

He was using his “wealth” to crush these Lunar Monsters with the best killing techniques available.
