The Villain and the Cannon Fodder’s Mother

Chapter 223: Perhaps, his mother did not fully comprehend the meaning of "only"! (2)

On his way to Lin Yiyi, he had seen steaks that were ready to be served and picked out a piece. Then he saw a prepared sole and did the same. With a bite here and a bite there, he was already mostly full after a little while.

The birthday noodles that Lin Yiyi had prepared were made from pork bone broth. Even with nothing else inside of it, just a handful of green onion sprinkled on top was enough to make one salivate.

Even though he was already half full from the picking earlier, Lu Xun was hungry all over again when he smelled the noodles!

He never knew that birthday noodles could be made this way. It smelled so ungodly good!

Lin Yiyi ignored him and walked out of the kitchen with the pot of birthday noodles.

Of course, with a tail following behind her.

She stopped suddenly and turned to look at him.

Boss Lu immediately pulled back his pair of eyes that only wished it could take up residence inside of the pot and looked at Lin Yiyi quizzically.

“I’ve saved you a bowl in the kitchen. Go find it yourself.”

The very next second, Lu Xun was already happily running in the direction of the kitchen.

Lin Yiyi, “……”

Walking out with the pot of birthday noodles, Lin Yiyi first scooped out a bowl for Meng Yuran.

The teenager was already full from being angry. How would he have an appetite now for the noodles?

Except that, once he smelled the aroma of the delicious noodles, he was immediately salivating.

“Did you make this?”

The teenager was immediately in a good mood.

Lin Yiyi nodded. “And I only made one pot of it. Just for the birthday boy and nobody else!”

She blinked at the teenager. “This is just for you, Little Yuran~”

Meng Yuran was sitting in a hidden corner and far away from the rest of the crowd.

Sitting across from him was that annoying Lu Mingzhe. And his fool of a sister!

All of the other schoolmates were already devouring the steaks, lambchops, and all the other seafoods from the buffet table. Nobody paid any attention to this quiet, little corner.

Hearing her words, Meng Yuran tried very hard to keep his smile from showing, but he finally failed at stopping his lips from curving upward.

He was such an awkward little kid!

Lin Yiyi was already used to him being that way.

After she had finished coaxing her instant son, she scooped another bowl out for Lu Mingzhe.

Lu Mingzhe’s emotional quotient was much higher than that of Meng Yuran’s.

After he took the bowl from Lin Yiyi, he placed it in front of Meng Shanshan. He even patted her on her head and said to her, “Shanshan first.”

Aiya, he was such a nice kid!

No wonder Ms. Lin Ping liked him so much.

Lin Yiyi scooped out another bowl for the teenager after she finished with her lamenting.

Meng Yuran watched the entire exchange.

He tsked. All of a sudden, he felt that his birthday noodles with pork bone broth was no longer as tasty as it was before!

After a little while, Lu Xun, too, walked over happily with a bowl of noodles in hand.

He came from the direction of the kitchen. And he was walking straight toward them.

Then he plopped straight down next to Meng Yuran.

Meng Yuran looked down and saw the noodles in his bowl.

They were exactly the same as the ones in his bowl!

Meng Yuran, “……”

Didn’t she just say that they were made specifically for him?

Didn’t she also say that they were only for him and nobody else?

Looking at the one, two, and three others all with their own bowl. And eating faster than him no less!

Meng Yuran looked at them in disbelief when they all helped themselves to a second serving. His lips twitched.

Perhaps, his mother did not fully comprehend the meaning of “only”!
