Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 48 - Protect Sofia

"Be careful, Dean," Bryana shouted as Dean accelerated to avoid a red light.

"I have to hurry because I don\'t want him to take Sofia out of the country as he did one year ago!" said Dean growled.

"So, you know who Sofia\'s kidnapper?" Bryana asked in surprise.

"Yes, her grandfather had kidnapped her and he had always wanted to take her away from me. I didn\'t allow him because I knew he was a bad person, had many enemies and she wouldn\'t be safe with him!" Dean explained while controlling Bryana\'s very fast sports car.

Bryana was silent and tried to understand Dean\'s explanation. \'He\'s taking care of me, keeping me and Calvin safe. Even though his daughter is always being targeted by her grandfather. Oh my God, I don\'t know what to say? what should I do to make things fair, so she can protect us together? \'

After about 30 minutes of crossing, Dean finally arrived in front of Gustave\'s house. He stopped the car right in front of the gate which was locked tightly from the outside, not even at all visible inside the courtyard of the house.

"You just wait here and don\'t open the door if I\'m not the one who came," said Dean with such intense gaze at Bryana.

"But I want to help you too," Bryana replied worriedly. she was worried that his bodyguard would be seriously injured like the other day.

"I can do it myself and I promise I\'ll be back here in 20 minutes. Stay here," exclaimed Dean pleadingly.

Bryana can only nod in agreement. Dean immediately got out of the car and took something from his pants pocket, then tried to open the gate. Maybe he used the equipment he always carried for safety or rescue while serving as a bodyguard.

"Hey, how dare you trespassing!" A security guard immediately rebuked Dean with an angry look.

Dean, who was annoyed because he wanted to meet Sofia, immediately beat the security guard until he was helplessly falling on the floor. After that, he walked towards the main door of Gustave\'s magnificent house which was dominated by yellowish-white and there were about 10 luxury cars lined up in the garage.

Without asking anymore, Dean went straight into the living room because the door was not locked.

"SOFIA ... SOFIAA!" shouted Dean as he walked through the room until he met Lucas.

"You don\'t have the manners of shouting in people\'s homes!" Lucas gave Dean a hateful look.

"And a person who is looking for his kidnapped daughter doesn\'t need to be polite to his kidnapper!" said Dean growled. "Tell me where Gustave hid my daughter!"

"Mr. Gustave just wants to give her a more decent life, why don\'t you allow it when you are just a poor man and always leave Sofia to work every day. I know, Dean. You work and come home only once a week, that\'s not enough to pay attention for Sofia who doesn\'t have a mother!" Lucas was lazy to speak. It made Dean\'s ears itchy and his hands grabbed and hit his not-so-handsome face.

Bughhh!

"Don\'t talk too much if you don\'t know the truth! Tell me quickly where Gustave hid Sofia!" exclaimed Dean with a sharp gaze as he grabbed Lucas\'s shirt collar.

"I won\'t tell you!" Lucas replied with a low groan.

Dean got angrier and clenched his fists again about to punch Lucas\'s annoying face.

"STOP, DEAN!" exclaimed someone from behind Dean.

Dean turned to find Gustave standing with Sofia holding. He immediately released his grip on Lucas, then moved towards Sofia, who ran over to him.

"Daddy." Sofia scrambled to hug Dean who was squatting to welcome her.

"Are you okay, Dear?" Dean squatted to release Sofia\'s hug.

Sofia nodded and said, "Grandpa is nice. I was given a present and invited to see mommy\'s picture "

Dean turned to stare at Gustave who was standing about three meters away from him. He also stood up carrying Sofia, because he did not want Sofia to be taken again.

"I\'m not as bad as you think, Dean. I just want to see my granddaughter and give her a present on her birthday," said Gustave as he walked to the sofa, where he had prepared a gift in the form of a red box for her.

"Naturally, I think badly, because all this time you\'ve been trying to take Sofia away from me and bring you to move to London!" said Dean with a cold gaze.

"I don\'t want to be pushy because if she is an adult, she will choose to come with me because she will not live with you who are always lacking and there is never time for her," Gustave said casually.

Dean was silent because Gustave\'s words were true. but it was better to take Sofia with him because he didn\'t want her to be insecure as he might become the target of Gustave\'s enemies who were scattered all over the place.

"She will stay with me because she is my daughter!" Dean emphasized.

"Daddy, don\'t be rude to Grandpa," cried Sofia, who was still in Dean\'s arms.

Gustave smiled triumphantly and walked over to Dean, then handed Sofia a present. "This is for you, Dear."

Sofia also received the gift. "Thank you, Grandpa."

"You are very similar to your mother. looking at you is like seeing your mother\'s childhood," Gustave said as he rubbed Sofia\'s cheek very softly.

Dean looked lazily at Gustave who was acting cute. He still suspected that his father-in-law was still planning to take Sofia from him after this.

"Let\'s go home now, Sofia. Grandma must be worried about you," exclaimed Dean.

Sofia also remembered that her grandmother had fallen unconscious. She was also willing to go home and say goodbye to her grandfather.

Bryana saw Dean coming out of the gate guiding Sofia, who walked around carrying gifts. She immediately got out of the car and approached them.

"Sofia." Bryana immediately looked down to hug Sofia for a moment. "Are you okay, Sweetheart?"

Sofia just nodded her head and smiled while showing her the gift her grandfather had given her.

Bryana turned to stare at Dean who looked nervous and still annoyed. "What\'s wrong, Dean?"

"I\'m afraid he will take Sofia away from me again because he already knows where my house is. My house is no longer safe for Sofia," Dean replied with a tinge of sadness on his face, then looked down at Sofia, who began to melt with her grandfather just because of a gift and was shown a photo of Clarissa while still alive.

"I didn\'t lose her "

Seeing Dean who was so sad and thought about Sofia\'s safety, Bryana seemed to feel hurt and thought about Sofia\'s safety, which she considered as a real child.

"Take her to my house, Dean. I\'ll ask Lauren or Susan to prepare a room for her," Bryana exclaimed.

Because of the urgent situation and did not want Sofia to be taken again by Gustave. Dean nodded in agreement. "Yes, I\'ll invite her to stay over at your house.. But just sleep with me, you don\'t have to prepare a room for her."
