Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 5 - Accidentally Hugged

When the elevator opens, Bryana immediately exits to her room which is located not far from the location of the elevator through her secretary\'s room.

"Monica, come to my office now," Bryana exclaimed as she walked past his secretary.

"Yes, Mrs."

The secretary named Monica immediately started to follow Bryana and Dean followed suit.

\'Who is that guy?\' Monica thought as she followed Dean and Bryana because she didn\'t know that her boss had a new bodyguard.

Arriving at the office, Bryana immediately discussed company matters with Monica, while Dean just stood at the door with a flat gaze.

"Do I have a meeting scheduled today?" Bryana asked as she stared at the files piled up on her desk. even though she had only been to the office for a day, but the work had piled up.

"There\'s a meeting with Mr. Carlos from the High Corporation and the weekly meeting at ten, Mrs," Monica replied formally.

Bryana sighed, massaged her forehead as she stared at the pile of files in front of her. "Do you have a recommendation for someone who could be my assistant here, Monica?"

"There is. But I think you have to see and judge whether it is appropriate or not to be your right hand," Monica replied.

"Is your cousin? Male or female?" Bryana asked while leaning back in her seat of power, occasionally glancing at Dean who was still standing in front of the door like a security guard.

"Yes, Mrs. She is a woman and from another city, has worked for several times at well-known companies in Surabaya it\'s just that because she didn\'t feel at home, she resigned," explained Monica.

Bryana nodded in understanding, then exclaimed, "then bring her here as soon as possible. Because I need a personal assistant to help with my work, including us too. Salary issues, I\'ll add."

"Okay, Mrs. maybe the day after tomorrow she could come," Monica said.

Bryana nodded in understanding. "Okay. You can come out now," she said.

Monica nodded, then got up from her seat. She walked out of the room while glancing at Dean who was still standing firmly in front of the door. \'This handsome bodyguard will make Mrs. Bryana feel at home with him for a long time,\' she thought as she glanced at Dean briefly.

Bryana returned to focus on checking the files that had piled up, occasionally glancing at Dean who was still standing in front of the door. It made her feel uncomfortable and pity. The woman finally got out of the chair, walked over to her bodyguard who was faithfully standing at the door.

"Aren\'t you tired, Dean?" Bryana asked in a relaxed manner.

"No, I\'m used to being like this," replied Dean with his gaze.

Bryana smiled thinly at Dean\'s flat attitude who pretended not to be interested in staring at him. "Yes, fine if you are not tired. Stand up until you will ask permission from me to sit down," she said.

Dean just didn\'t move lazily to respond, he glanced at Bryana who was walking back to his desk. \'Damn! Why does ahe look so much like Clarissa? I have to hold back because I don\'t deserve it,\' he thought

Bryana returned to continue her work, occasionally she still glanced at Dean who was still standing and did not ask permission to sit down. \'Isn\'t he tired? Hem ... why can anyone be like a statue like that? He\'s flat, unlike most men who like to cast charm in front of me.\'

Until nearly two hours Bryana checked the files on her desk, Dean remained standing without moving. It makes Bryana uncomfortable and feels sore at the thought of being Dean\'s leg. \'I think I have to force him,\' she thought then got out of the chair, walked over to Dean.

"Sit down, I can\'t work with my focus when I see you standing for a long time, while I sit back and relax," Bryana exclaimed grumpily staring at Dean.

"It\'s okay, I\'m used to this because this is my job," replied Dean with a stiff smile.

"No excuses, Dean. Now sit down and I\'ll order you coffee," Bryana exclaimed.

"No, Ma\'am. I\'ll just stay here and you don\'t need to order coffee," replied Dean politely.

Bryana let out a harsh breath, holding back Dean who was unable to persuade her. She also forcibly pulled her bodyguard towards the sofa saying, "just think of it as an order and you won\'t be able to refuse or I\'ll fire you."

Bryana sat Dean down too roughly, and fell to his knees on the sofa, and fell into his arms too. the two of them flinched with their eyes staring at each other and faces only about 10 cm apart.

Dean felt his heart beating faster than usual, he could see Bryana\'s beautiful face which made him fall in love even more. Likewise, Bryana, who felt a flutter when she saw Dean\'s hazel blue eyes that seemed to pierce her heart, her handsome face with fine hairs on her firm jaw, also inhaled the fragrance of perfume that was not too sharp.

Until a few moments they were like that, then realized each other to get off the sofa.

"Sorry," Bryana said.

"I was wrong," replied Dean.

"It\'s not your fault, because I was too rough and your body was too heavy. So I fell too," said Bryana with an awkward smile.

Dean only smiled faintly in response and corrected his seat, while Bryana was still standing awkwardly.

"I\'ll order coffee for you and don\'t refuse," Bryana said.

Dean just nodded, while Bryana returned to her desk. she immediately called OB to make a cup of coffee for Dean and a cup of tea for him.

Bryana resumed her activities checking files, but she couldn\'t focus because she imagined Dean\'s handsome face that she had seen very closely. \'Why me? I\'m not usually like this to new men after shutting down from men who seduce me,\' she thought angrily.

\'She shouldn\'t be overreacting like this. I\'m really afraid to get carried away with feelings and events like Clarissa will happen again,\' Dean thought as he glanced at Bryana who had secretly stolen his heart. But he became restless because of the past that haunted him.. whatever happened between him and his late wife, made him want to keep a distance from Bryana.
