Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 77: Two Mutant Eggs (Fifth Update, Please Subscribe)

Wrapped within that peculiar organ were two identical golden crystalline eggs, clearly being a pair of Base Mutation Eggs. Each Base Mutation Egg contained countless intertwining gold threads; they were dazzlingly beautiful and ineffably captivating.

“Obtained Mutated Crystal Base Egg from Mutant Sea Demon God General… Obtained Mutated Crystal Base Egg from Mutant Sea Demon God General…”

The Mutant Sea Demon God General actually nurtured two Base Mutation Eggs. To get two Mutated Crystal Base Eggs at once, that luck was simply unmatched.

No wonder Wei Wufu couldn’t help but curse, it was indeed too eye-catching.

The spectators, seeing that Lin Shen had actually retrieved two Base Mutation Eggs from the body of the Mutant Sea Demon God General, were seized by jealousy and couldn’t even think straight for a moment.

Many people now felt impulsively driven to rush over to Lin Shen’s location, to fight Base Variant Creatures and claim their Base Mutation Eggs.

Even some more extreme individuals wanted to kill Lin Shen directly and steal the pair of Mutated Crystal Base Eggs from his hands.

Lin Shen’s team immediately became the focus of all the temporary teams in the world, with everyone discussing Lin Shen’s Angel Revolver and the two Mutated Crystal Base Eggs.

Xu Tiange, though also somewhat envious, knew that he needed to rely on Lin Shen to survive in this place and dared not show it, going forward to congratulate Lin Shen instead.

Lu Qing also marveled at Lin Shen’s incredibly good fortune, realizing that these two Mutated Crystal Base Eggs, whether used personally or sold, were exceptionally explosive assets.

“That bastard is quite lucky,” Ye Yuzhen felt a tinge of joy when she saw Lin Shen obtain two Mutated Eggs.

However, seeing Lu Qing approach and say something to Lin Shen, Yuzhen’s mood suddenly soured.

Wei Wufu grasped the trident in his hand, swiping it through the air a few times with what seemed like satisfaction, and immediately strapped it onto his back.

“If you can carry it away, then it’s yours,” Lin Shen said to Xu Tiange and Lu Qing, pointing at the corpse after retrieving the Death Powder Capsule from the head of the Mutant Sea Demon God General.

Mutated Crystal Base materials were also quite valuable, but Lin Shen had already had his fill of the spoils. It was only fair to let them have some soup.

The main issue was that carrying such things wasn’t convenient. In a place with such strong gravity, steel pets would likely be unable to drag it, and he didn’t have a higher-class pet to use, which significantly impeded his escape speed.

Lin Shen had no intention of staying in that place any longer. Who knew what kind of creatures would emerge from the sea next? If a few more formidable beings appeared, they would be troublesome to deal with.

He also had no idea how far he’d have to travel to find a place to hide, and he didn’t want to waste time on the road.

Xu Tiange was very pleased upon hearing this. This was Mutated Crystal Base material; although it wasn’t as valuable as the two Mutated Eggs in Lin Shen’s hands, nor comparable to the trident in Wei Wufu’s hands, it still held significant value.

A flicker of disappointment crossed through Lu Qing’s eyes, as it seemed that Lin Shen had put her and Xu Tiange in the same category, robbing her of the joy of obtaining high-grade mutated materials.

“Let’s drag it away first, then we can discuss how to divide it up later,” Xu Tiange said to Lu Qing after some deliberation, then they brought an Alloy Level Mighty Kong Elephant to drag the body of the Mutant Sea Demon God General.

The Red Jade Lion and the Gold Crystal Horned Cow had both been called back; the two pets were severely injured and would likely take some time to recover.

After some discussion, the group decided to move away from the beach and find a safer place to settle down.

The four of them walked on and off, moving slowly and not encountering any Base Variant Creatures; it seemed rather dull.

However, the discussions about them never ceased. Lin Shen was offhandedly labeled a playboy, and the uninformed even mistook Wei Wufu and the others as his bodyguards.

At this time, another team quietly surpassed Lin Shen and his three companions.

Zheng Yan and six other Alloy Base Mutators had formed a temporary squad. Since they were all Base Mutators from the Lu Family and very familiar with each other, having often operated together in the past, their cooperation was exceptionally smooth.

Under Zheng Yan’s leadership, the seven of them had killed a number of Base Variant Creatures in the vicinity and had even luckily encountered a Mutated Alloy, but unfortunately, they did not find any Mutant Eggs.

Not long after Lin Shen and his team had killed the Mutant Sea Demon God General, Zheng Yan’s great opportunity also arrived.

In a valley, they actually discovered a nest of Crystal Mutation Eggs.

The nest of Crystal Mutation Eggs was located in a stone pit within the valley, lined with some fine metallic branches, covered by a few large metallic leaves.

Accidentally venturing into the stone pit and lifting the leaves, everyone in the team was astounded.

Inside, there were three Crystal Mutation Eggs that looked like jade, with two of them green, resembling Imperial Green Jade, and the other one a bluish-green color. This made them even more overjoyed, as the bluish-green Crystal Mutation Egg was very likely a Mutant Egg.

“Let’s collect them first and divide them up when we get back,” Zheng Yan’s eyes flashed with a trace of greed.

However, reason still triumphed over greed. In order not to let the squad fall apart and turn on each other, Zheng Yan repeatedly assured that they would fairly share their spoils after returning. This steadied the other six Alloy Base Mutators in the squad.

The spectators were admiring their fortune. Lin Shen and his group had to fight a tough battle with the Mutant Sea Demon God General to gain their rewards.

These people had simply stumbled upon three Crystal Mutation Eggs, one of which might even be a mutant.

Zheng Yan first collected the three Crystal Mutation Eggs. Just as they were preparing to leave, they heard an angry roar echoing through the entire valley.

A Crystal-based Creature, covered in Green Crystal Scales and resembling a huge dragon without wings but standing upright like a lizard, charged down from above the valley. The nearly vertical cliff face was like flat ground under the creature’s feet—it reached the bottom of the valley in just a few bounds.

With such speed, Zheng Yan and his team had no chance to escape, and a fierce battle erupted in an instant.

The Mutators summoned their Alloy pets, but they were no match for the Crystal-based Creature. In just one encounter, one of the Alloy pets was torn in half by the creature’s bare hands. Its claws, which were like emerald daggers, tore through the body of the Alloy pet as if it were tearing through paper.

The group was shocked; they were no match for the creature. It was only with the summoning of a Crystal Base Level Red Jade Lion by Zheng Yan that they managed to stabilize the situation.

The Red Jade Lions of Zheng Yan and Lu Qing both came from the same place, a major resource area controlled by the Lu Family.

Even with the Red Jade Lion’s participation, they could only barely maintain the situation.

The Crystal-based Creature was faster than the Red Jade Lion and highly intelligent; it didn’t fight the Red Jade Lion head-on but adopted hit-and-run tactics, striking Zheng Yan and his team repeatedly and quickly killing several Alloy pets.

The Red Jade Lion could only chase after the creature, always one step behind, watching helplessly as the Crystal-based Creature darted to and fro.

One Alloy Base Mutator, who was slightly inattentive and retreated too slowly, was pierced through the heart by the Crystal-based Creature’s tongue, which was like a soft sword, after it broke through the pet’s defense line.

Zheng Yan was also at his wits’ end; this Crystal-based Creature was smarter than any others he had ever seen. It refused to engage directly with the Red Jade Lion, putting him in a very passive position.

If it continued like this, they probably would all be killed by this Crystal-based Creature, and the Red Jade Lion would be of no use.

Zheng Yan clenched his teeth, about to order everyone to split up and run, when he suddenly saw an unbelievable figure appear in the sky above the valley.

“God! What am I seeing?” someone exclaimed in shock.
