The Birth Of A Villainess

Chapter 18 - Chu Chu (II)

After seeing Chu Chu\'s violent reaction, Lin Xiaofei decided to end the matter faster.

She walked to a table were a brush, ink and paper that were prepared for the guests beforehand, she wrote a few words and crumpled it before softly throwing it to Chu Chu.

The crumpled paper rolled on the floor and stopped just before Chu Chu\'s feet and Lin Xiaofei said, "Read it once I\'m gone before burning it. I hope you will give me an answer the next time we meet again."

Lin Xiaofei could only resort to this method to speak to her since Chu Chu was unwilling to listen and threatened her to kill herself, making Lin Xiaofei hesitate and uncomfortable.

And so, Lin Xiaofei decided to leave after fixing her robe and hat.

In the lobby, Su Tang was still negotiating with the manager of Bai Hua Lou when she saw her young miss walking down the stairs with a cold look in her face.

Su Tang hesitated to approach her young miss and when she got closer to Lin Xiaofei, she felt an inexplicable feeling of being choked by something..

It was only until they have stepped out of the doors of Bai Hua Lou that Su Tang was able to utter what she wanted to say, "Didn\'t young miss want to redeem Chu Chu so, how is it that young miss wants to go back now?"

Earlier, Lin Xiaofei ordered Su Tang to pay the manager for the amount of redeeming Chu Chu. However, after only a few minutes have passed, her young miss suddenly left with a deadly aura around her.

Thus, Su Tang was wondering what could have happened to her young miss and Chu Chu.

Instead of answering, Lin Xiaofei completely ignored her and stepped into her carriage, "Let\'s go back to the Lin Residence!"

As soon as they heard her order, the driver and the guards, as well as Bai Lu and Su Tang didn\'t oppose her and silently went back to the Lin Residence.

Inside the room, Chu Chu let go of the dagger with a loud \'clang\' and fell down. Her knees felt so weak and a stinging pain was on her neck after being grazed by the blade\'s sharp tip.

She was really prepared to die.

A few months ago, Chu Chu was still her former cheerful self but after knowing of Xiaofei\'s demise and miserable life in the dungeon from the mouths of Yu Fangzhu\'s close followers, Chu Chu found no desire to serve a customer nor be happy in this lifetime.

Xiaofei was her savior and the only reason Chu Chu desired to live but with her gone, Chu Chu found no hope to continue her life.

Yu Fangzhu was also very cruel to her. Several months ago, he sent a few men to her disguised as her guests but who would\'ve thought they would be monsters inside a human\'s skins.

They ruthlessly played with her and mocked her. Not only did they beat her up without remorse or mercy, but they also told her about the things that Yu Fangzhu did to Xiaofei.

If Chu Chu didn\'t have hatred in her heart and the intent to revenge, she wouldn\'t live for more months and would be a pile of bones now. However, even until now, Chu Chu didn\'t get her revenge nor did she avenge Xiaofei.

Without accomplishing anything at all, Chu Chu became empty and soulless. She became hollowed and refused to eat. She didn\'t even react to the taunt of every other new beauty added under the employ of Bai Hua Lou.

And this went for months until that young lad just now uttered the name of Xiaofei in front of Chu Chu that she became violent and threatened to kill her life.

However, out of her expectation, the young lad didn\'t do anything and was more furious at her actions and said a few cold words to her that Chu Chu hesitated to take her life.

Looking down at the crumpled ball of paper on the floor, Chu Chu reached her hand out to take it and hesitated to read it.

Should she be a fool once again and read what that young lad wrote for her?

Chu Chu sighed and held her bearing as she became determined to look at what was written in the paper.

Suddenly, a gasp resounded in the room as Chu Chu looked at the words written on the paper, and the tears that filled her eyes started to pour once again.

In the paper, these words were written beautifully:

\'I am a friend of Xiaofei and have the same goal as you. I know where the box is and I need you to move or else, I cannot do this alone. Her enemies danced too much, they need to be exterminated.\'

In the first sentence, Chu Chu didn\'t believe it at first but after every word that was written, Chu Chu was extremely surprised and looked at the door where the young lad had left.

The \'box\' that Xiaofei secretly gave to Chu Chu was something that only the two of them knew.

Even Yu Fangzhu who brutally murdered Xiaofei and made Chu Chu\'s life miserable didn\'t know this fact and was aimlessly looking for the box. However, both Chu Chu and Xiaofei hid it too well that he was unable to find it even if he turned the entire Zheng empire into a mess.

However, another person who knew of the location of the box suddenly appeared and told Chu Chu to move. Other than that, that young lad also said that he wanted to exterminate the enemies.

But whose enemies?

Hers and Xiaofei\'s? But why?

Chu Chu heard footsteps walking from the corridors and abruptly stood up.

She went to one of the corners of the room, where a candle was lit and watched the paper in her hand be engulfed in the fire before turning into black ash.

She had too many questions to ask from that young lad and needed answers. If that young lad was really someone who had the same goal as her, Chu Chu will wait again for him to come and discuss this matter.

Whether the young lad was lying or not, Chu Chu will decide once they meet once again.

But for now, her desire for revenge was again lit by this small hope of light that has appeared before her.
